Chicken Basket & Boba

I finally checked out Chicken Basket, and it definitely hit the spot! I ordered the fried chicken combo which comes with a generous portion of crispy, golden-brown wings and drums. The breading was perfectly seasoned and had that satisfying crunch I was looking for. 🤤 The sides were a great touch—the fried rice was savory and packed with flavor, and the fresh garden salad added a nice, crisp contrast to the meal. 🥗 I also appreciated the two different dipping sauces; the red sauce had a delicious kick that paired perfectly with the chicken. 🌶️ it was a fantastic, filling meal! I’ll definitely be back for more. 😋👌

🍗 Consistently Amazing – A Local Favorite! 🧋 We've been coming to Chicken Basket & Boba since just after the pandemic, and not once have we had a bad experience. The chicken wings are our go-to—they're made with rice flour, which gives them an incredibly crunchy texture that's hard to beat. I always go for the Honey BBQ sauce, while my wife loves the Sweet & Spicy. Both are packed with flavor and never disappoint. This place has truly become one of our favorite spots in Carlsbad. The happy hour specials are great (even though we somehow always show up outside of them!), and the vibe is casual and welcoming. Whether you're craving Korean-style fried chicken or just want a solid meal with great service, I’d absolutely recommend Chicken Basket & Boba to anyone.

Check this place out for fantastically good, fresh, authentic Korean comfort foods. My wife and kids ordered the boneless chicken and ribeye bulgogi, and it did not disappoint. Everything was fresh and delicious. Service was great, the staff was very attentive and polite. Overall a great experience and great food. Pricing is on par with a traditional quick eats restaurant atmosphere. This is not fast food. You can expect to get a good portion of great food for less than you'd pay at a large traditional restaurant.

Delicious fried chicken and a delicious large bowl of chicken soup. The chicken legs didn't need dipping sauce. So so good! You get a lot of food for what you pay. Patio seating available. Indoor seating reminds me of a sports bar. Great service too.

Usually when I go to this place I only get boba, which i really like. The perls are nice and chewy and don't disintegrate like some bad perls do, if that makes sense, And I love the clear cans the boba comes in. This time me and my mom ended up getting food here for lunch, I got the kimchi pancakes and I really liked them, I ended up eating all of them. I forgot which drink I got in the picture, but I remember it being good 😅 but yeah I really like this place, I always like the music they are playing in there too. 🙂

We ordered online for pick up and the chicken was really hot and crispy! The kimchi pancake is pretty legit too. The tteokboki is not bad, a bit spicy. It’s a tad overpriced (hence the 4 stars) but it’s still good if you have a craving for the fried chicken.

Great place right in center of the plaza. I went for lunch and got some of the lunch specials and was blown away by not only the quality of the gluten free breaded chicken and the sides. But also by how much food they gave me for 20$. If I could give more stars I would. Go check this place out and tell them Madi sent you!!!
