All drinks came out amazing! I got fresh taro in my taro smoothie and absolutely loved it. My son ordered an Oreo smoothie, and my husband had the mango sago.
Have not been disappointed yet! Have been stopping here weekly for a few months now with 8yo and the food and drinks are always delicious. My top drinks are the strawberry banana smoothie and the lemon black tea. 8yo refuses to drink anything but the earl grey milk tea with boba. Apparently its her perfect drink. We have tried several snacks, including the onion pancakes, potstickers, garlic noodles and others, and have enjoyed them all. The staff is always so friendly and welcoming, the music is never obnoxiously loud, and the dining area is always clean.
First time trying this place, unfortunately, it was disappointing. Spam musubi fell apart when I picked it up, they don't wrap the seaweed all the way around, and the rice is not medium grain, it's basmati or jasmine, so that totally changed the flavor of the musubi. The sauce in the musubi was alright, it at least helped me get through most of the musubi which I had to eat with utensils! We also got the green onions pancake, definitely didn't look anything like the photo, I mean not even close at all! It was just deep fried dough in a flat pancake shape, and barely any green onions, no flavor! The deep fried crab meat puffs were burnt, a bit too greasy. They use shredded crab meat, which was OK, but I was expecting some chunky pieces of crab! GYU DON was actually very good, the only item that was not disappointing! GYU over rice on the other hand, was very dry, they use the same rice they use for musubi, some red pickled ginger strips topper and that's all. I had to go to the counter 2x to ask for chili sauce, which comes in a small plastic cup, had to ask the server for more sauce bc the GYU over rice need help! Boba drinks were passable, I couldn't finish mine though, also disappointing as I usually do, with haste! Go to T4 in Antioch, that is my GO TO for the BEST BOBA hands down! They don't give napkins when they serve your food, had to ask for some. I really wanted to like this place, unfortunately, I'll not be going there again.
I like the tea here but cannot recommend the food yet. The place is in the strip mall where Bonchon is across the street from Sportsman's. The entrance is tiny and it's too dark that unless you actually open the door you'd think it's closed from outside. I even told the owners that they need to have a big open sign. This is different from other boba places in that they seemed to specialize more on their food than drinks. However I personally would recommend their drinks than their food. I didn't sample that many varieties of food except the popcorn chicken and the shrimp dumplings. I'm not sure whether they make the dumpings from scratch (unlikely) but it's not a bad choice when you are hungry even if it's heated "Costco dumplings." The popcorn chicken however is extremely salty and the breading is too much.
A Gateway to Authentic Japanese Flavors Teapot is a culinary gem that seamlessly fuses authentic Japanese flavors with modern presentation. Nestled in an unassuming corner, this restaurant delivers a dining experience that resonates with precision, artistry, and the essence of Japan’s culinary heritage. Spicy Miso Ramen: A Bowl of Perfect Harmony The Spicy Miso Ramen at Teapot is nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment the bowl is set before you, the rich aroma of miso, chili, and umami fills the air, promising a symphony of flavors. The broth is masterfully balanced—spicy yet soothing, with a depth that speaks to hours of meticulous preparation. It’s velvety and bold, accentuating every bite of the al dente noodles that have the perfect chew. The toppings are a showcase of careful thought and execution: tender slices of chashu pork that melt in your mouth, a perfectly marinated soft-boiled egg with a golden yolk, crisp nori, and a generous helping of bean sprouts and green onions that bring freshness and crunch. Every spoonful is an orchestration of flavors that leaves you craving the next. Takoyaki: A Masterpiece of Street Food Elegance Teapot’s Takoyaki elevates this beloved Japanese street food to fine-dining artistry. The golden-brown octopus balls are exquisitely crisp on the outside, with a creamy, savory filling that bursts with flavor. Each piece contains a tender morsel of octopus, perfectly cooked to retain its delicate chew. The takoyaki is adorned with a harmonious blend of tangy okonomiyaki sauce, creamy Japanese mayonnaise, and a sprinkling of smoky bonito flakes that dance with the heat of the freshly prepared dish. It’s a feast for the senses, both visually and in flavor, embodying the craftsmanship and attention to detail that Teapot exemplifies. Teapot is a restaurant that truly understands and honors Japanese cuisine. The Spicy Miso Ramen and Takoyaki are shining examples of the kitchen’s dedication to authenticity and innovation. For those seeking an exceptional Japanese dining experience, Teapot is not merely a recommendation; it is a must-visit destination.
The restaurant's environment makes people feel relaxed and happy when entering... Recommend the ramen and braised pork rice...delicious and authentic. The braised pork rice tastes the same as what I had in Taiwan. The drinks are also very good. I will come back and want to try the popcorn chicken next time.
Delicious ramen and braised pork over rice. This is what we need in Brentwood - more yummy Asian food selection. Service was fast and the soup came out piping hot & fresh.
