Customer Reviews
Blooming Thai has a rating of 4.6 out of 5 based on over 227 reviews on Google
Food was top notch and the service was quick with a group of 10, everything came out at the same time and within 20 minutes of ordering with only one server. It got too crowded and which was fine but make sure you go before the hour before it closes. They were kind with portions. Sooo many options to choose from for drinks and amazing variety of dishes. For college students and groups I highly recommend this restaurant, especially for people who like fast but amazing service. Plus you get to keep the cup if you order a drink. Great place for brunch or casual lunch.
Blooming Thai is great. The space is bright, cozy, and adorable—one of those spots where you instantly feel comfortable as soon as you walk in. The staff was kind and genuinely attentive, which made the whole experience even better. I ordered the strawberry milk tea and it was absolutely delicious—sweet, creamy, and refreshing. For food, we tried the Pho Beef and the Chicken Pad See U. Both dishes were flavorful and satisfying, with portions that felt generous without being overwhelming. Overall, it’s the kind of place you want to linger a little longer in, whether for a casual meal or just to relax with a drink. The photo wall is a nice touch. We’ll definitely be back to explore more of the menu.
Great spot for dinner. Big portions and delicious. We got the pad Thai and the drunken noodle. And we got some appetizers the naked tiger and Thai dumplings. Everything was just so good. And it’s a ton of food and the prices are good
"The food here is just as tasty as in Thailand! I ordered Isaan sausage, Hainanese chicken rice, and of course bubble tea. Everything was so good — I’d recommend ordering the same, you definitely won’t regret it!"
Really liked it! I really chose this place for dinner because I wanted bubble tea, and the bubble tea was good but the food was the highlight. The menu is very vegetarian-friendly since you can choose tofu as a protein for most entrees, and even vegan-friendly since they have nondairy milk options for drinks and some entrees can be easily customized to be vegan (order with tofu/no meat and remove egg). I got a matcha latte with brown sugar crystal boba and the Pattaya pineapple rice. Matcha latte: The matcha was decent - it had the flavour of matcha latte mix rather than pure matcha, but it wasn't unpleasant, and it was strong. I like the brown sugar crystal boba as a topping - the flavour is very similar to brown sugar tapioca boba, but it doesn't sit as heavy. It's a different kind of chewy than tapioca, but it's close enough that it basically gives the same kind of experience as regular tapioca boba in a drink. Pattaya pineapple rice: Really good! The rice was well-seasoned and the pieces of juicy pineapple and raisins added some sweetness that contrasted very nicely with the curry-spiced rice. They have 5 spice levels (mild, medium, hot, extra hot, Thai hot). I usually went for medium heat when I lived on the west coast, but since this is the Midwest, I tried "hot" and found it had a bit of a kick, but the heat was still secondary to the other flavours, so it was the right choice for me. Very good service. The waiter was very friendly and attentive without hovering - he came by at just the right times. My drink and food came out not too long after I ordered. The place is nice. Like the other restaurants in this area, it’s situated in a small house-like building. The atmosphere feels down-to-earth. No tables for groups bigger than 4, but maybe they would move tables together if you have a bigger group and they have capacity. As I mentioned, there are lots of things on the menu that interested me, so I will definitely be back!
Bloomingthai has been my go-to Thai restaurant since I first went there a few years back at the downtown location. The food is authentic, and the taste is top tier. My family and I go as often as we can and have had the pleasure of getting to know the owners and manager, they're truly lovely people. Affordable, delicious, good size portions, and friendly/welcoming atmosphere. 10/10 would recommend. They also have a location in Brown County, check them out! You won't be disappointed.
If you’re looking for extreme heat - the Thai spice level hits the spot. We had the red curry and Thai basil lunch special. Everything came out so fast and was delicious.
