Visited Whipped to explore their bakery, and it’s definitely a charming spot with a stylish café feel. I tried the Dubai chocolate latte (half sweet, extra hot) along with the Dubai chocolate cupcake. The latte had good flavor, but it wasn’t served as hot as requested and the foam was cold —they mentioned that’s due to the chocolate, so I’d opt for it iced next time. The cupcake was rich and enjoyable (8/10). My reason for 4 stars comes down to service: the coffees weren’t brought out together and were called out one by one, which made the experience feel a bit less polished. When I asked for suggestions, the staff member wasn’t particularly helpful either, which took away from the overall experience. That said, the space is inviting, the pastries are worth coming back for, and I look forward to trying more of their menu.
I’ve had their cupcakes for over 2 years, initially at the Leander location, and I loved their cupcakes. The moisture and sweetness of every cupcake was perfectly balanced. However, ever since the Austin location opened, I tried it twice, both of which were about 4-5 months apart. Both times, the cupcakes were heavily moist to the point of wet, drenched cake with visible liquid. I had the red velvet, tiramisu and strawberry, all were the same. I ordered half a dozen cupcakes each time and each cupcake was heavily moist. For the price of each cupcake, the moisture of the cakes shouldn’t be this high. It felt like I was eating tres leches instead of a regular cupcake🤷🏻♀️ I’ll drive back to the Leander location soon, hopefully it’s better quality. I was really hoping the Austin location quality will be the same, so that I wouldn’t have to drive too far out. Pictures attached to show the moisture on the cake.
This was an amazing find for us. Came here this week as we were in the area and wait for a store to open. So we decided to stop by for some coffee. I was blown away by the art and decor if the place as well as the pastries , cookies and coffee. The service was very personal and friendly!
Best tasting egg tart ever! Like crème brûlée, my kiddos absolutely loved the whipped airy frosting over traditional frosting plus the unique flavored cupcakes like the Mango which didn’t make it in the pic, and can’t wait to try crème brûlée and Choco raspberry Macaron 😋
The strawberry shortcake birthday cake that I received from here was one of the best cakes that I have ever had. The frosting was so incredibly light and did not contain buttercream as is standard in the US. The shortcake was spongy and airy in its texture, perfectly complimented by the layers of fresh strawberries inside the cake nested within the wonderful frosting. The 9’3 cake was plenty for five people and we were able to each have two or more pieces of the cake. I would highly recommend the quality of deserts at the Whipped bakery. I have also had the Dubai chocolate, strawberry, and Black Forest cupcakes. The Black Forest was delicious and had such a nice texture mix between the light white frosting and the smooth chocolate cake and sweet cherry. While delicious, I did not like the strawberry and the Dubai chocolate cupcakes as much as the strawberry shortbread cake or the Black Forest cupcake since they were a bit heavier, especially the Dubai chocolate one with the pistachio. However, any desert from the Whipped bakery is sure to delight and I will definitely be back for more cupcakes and any future cake needs.
Such a pleasant surprise! This cafe looks simple from the outside, but the inside is beautifully decorated and very inviting. We tried the Mango and Tiramisu cupcakes — both were moist, flavorful, and a bit on the sweeter side, but we really enjoyed them. The whipped cream frosting was light and smooth, not too buttery, and didn’t irritate my throat like some whipped toppings usually do. Great spot for dessert and ambiance!
This is my new go-to spot for cupcakes and that posh French bakery vibe! The store is very beautiful on the inside and the employee who helped me pick my flavors was both very sweet and extremely helpful. I got 6 different cupcake flavors to try with friends: Raspberry Vanilla, Tiramisu, Taro Milk Tea, Triple Chocolate, Tres Leches, and Dubai Chocolate. Every flavor was delicious; not too sweet, moist cake, light and incredibly flavorful whipped cream icing. I found the Tres Leches and Taro Milk Tea especially awesome, I’m in love! I also got their honey lavender latte and it was heavenly, the perfect balance and rich in flavor. Everything was 10/10 and I look forward to going again. ☺️
