I love this place. This is the most authentic Chinese/Taiwanese food around. It’s been here forever because the food here is so solid. Anything you order here is fresh and yums. I never feel thirsty after eating here like other Chinese places we eat at. I always wish I have left overs to take home. Also a lot of the people working here have been working here for a long time and tried to give the best service. So happy that I can order online So happy they have children plates and accommodates families well. They have three large tables and many small tables. They get busy on the weekends but it’s easy to get a table during the week! I’ve been coming here since I was a child! Food is always delicious. Reminds me of home style cooking and the service is always attentive and nice. I’ve been seeing Sue for years now and am always happy to see her face. This place is a comfort place for me. Not just for the food but for the atmosphere. It really is a home away from home. I love the lunch specials.

Ive been coming here for about 10 years and I can't complain about a single thing from any time Ive come here. The staff always remembers who me and my family are, and the food is always great. Some stuff varies in taste and quality from visit to visit, but it's never bad nontheless. If you're looking to take a step away from kung-pao chicken, go ahead and order some green onion pancakes and lamb with cumin.

First time trying this restaurant and it did not disappoint! The space was clean, the food was delicious, and the flavors had a really nice Taiwanese-style balance. We ordered the Sichuan-style shrimp noodles, French beef, eggplant, and the salt & pepper fish, everything was so good that I was too excited and hungry after the gym to take more than one photo! Definitely a place you have to experience for yourself. Prices were also very reasonable for the amount and quality of food. I’ll absolutely be back.

The welcoming was nice… once we decided on what to order (lots of selection) the food arrived in a timely fashion. The freshness and flavor exceeded my expectations. We ordered shrimp chow main, walnut shrimp, mongolia beef, kung pao chicken, dumplings and milk tea boba… the boba was delicious. It’s definitely authentic Chinese food. Left satisfied.

This spot is a flavor powerhouse! The eggplant is incredibly tender and savory, while the orange chicken strikes the perfect balance of crispy texture and tangy glaze. The real standout, however, is the fires fish—it brings a bold flavor that is absolutely addictive.

If you want the best traditional Taiwanese food in the 562 area, Canaan is the place to be at. My family is from Taiwan and we have been coming here for 20+ years, and we have yet to find a place better than this. 100/10 would recommend
