Customer Reviews
Basil Café has a rating of 4.7 out of 5 based on over 916 reviews on Google
The food was very very good! The spring rolls with tofu were fantastic. I had lunch which was quick, delicious and enough for another meal. They have a full bar, two sides of parking lots and friendly service. The coconut water is amazing! I would go back just for the spring rolls. Absolutely lovely, and the decor is welcoming. Would be a great place to gather with friends or family and just enjoy!
We had a party of 3 and was a first time for all of us. The exterior of the building has you wondering and then you step inside and are transported into a very warm decor...a great place to calm yourself, before you wolf down some amazing food. I tried Spicy Basil with tofu. It was loaded with perfectly fried tofu and the sauce was a delicious blend of chilies, garlic, and basil. My friends got Pad Thai which looked great (I'll try that next time) and she was pleased with it also. My other friend got a special, some kind of pork belly and quail egg stew/soup. It looked fantastic and he took the leftovers home so he could savor it one more time. The spring rolls were huge. I prefer smaller ones as an appetizer not just a monster filled with rice noodles. Still, they were good. As a person sensitive to food additives I can say this place is safe! I didn't feel like any of the food was using any kind of nasty preservative or anything artificial. The first experience was very good so we all said we would come back with family or friends at some point in the future. See you soon!
One of the best restaurants I’ve ate at. The pad Thai was PHENOMENAL. The staff was so understanding and helpful with my toddler as well.
Delicious and authentic food with lots of variety! I've had Thai, Lao and Vietnamese food all over the country and world for that matter. Finding this little gem right here in Appleton has definitely made an impression on me. I highly recommend!! Great service and atmosphere as well.
We have been going here for 10 years! It is always perfection. Best Drunken Noodle ever!!
The Basil Cafe is one of the most reputable restaurants in Town. For me, they were amazing with just one issue - The protein quantity in dishes could definitely improve. 🍤 Started off with the Tom Yum soup , chose the protein as Shrimp - Excellent but the soup had 2 small shrimps. The broth of the soup was one of the best. 🌯 The egg rolls were delicious, crunchy and flavourful. No one does it better than them in Fox Valley for me. 🥘 Pad Kee Mao - Yummy rice noodles with chicken. Ordered this as Spicy but still needed additional chilli oil as the spice was sub par for me. 🍚 🥭- Mango Sticky Rice - Unfortunately the least favourite part of the evening, I was trying this dish for the first time and didn’t like it. Not a restaurant specific, I feel this isnt my cup of tea. Ate the magoes off it 😂 Overall, Basil Cafe as always scores high on ambiance and service along with good food. — eating dinner at Basil Café.
Been on business trip here in Appleton, WI for a month and this is easily the best meal I’ve had on this trip. Dinner and dessert both awesome. Service, couldn’t ask for anything better. Even the complimentary water was coconut infused. What!? Who does that? So happy you do. So happy I tried it and refilled a million times.
