Sushi Gen offered a good value and actually had very well prepared sushi rice, which automatically won them 75% of the sushi battle. The green chile roll was interesting, but a little bland. The tuna nigiri was delicious as well as the masago. The young sushi chef was very pleasant to converse with as well. He was always eager to provide me with the order sheet and ask how I was doing. He was surprised when I told him I make sushi rolls and hand rolls at home. The night I visited, I really enjoyed the rainbow roll as well, but the one biggest disappointment was the squid (ika). The ika was sliced too thick and perhaps could have been scored with a finer criss cross pattern. It was very tough to chew and excessively slimy on the underside. It was not spoiled, however, because the taste was neutral. Loved: sushi rice and temperature, tuna nigiri, masago nigiri. Disappointed by: no appetizers on the AYCE menu, salmon nigiri did not have a fresh taste. Hated: thick, tough, chewy, slimy squid (ika)

This was our first visit. Sushi rice was quite good! Sushi was ok... better than average for AYCE. The Albuquerque roll was the only roll we tried but it was so good we had a second one! I also enjoyed the spicy Tuna hand roll. Great service and attentive staff. Overall a very pleasant dinner at affordable price so we look forward to visiting again and exploring the menu further.

The atmosphere and décor were both very nice, and the service was good. The food was especially enjoyable, and it’s easy to see why they’ve been around for so long. Their sushi was tasty, and while the selection wasn’t as extensive as I’ve seen elsewhere, the options they did offer were solid and satisfying. I would definitely visit again, especially since the location is so convenient.

They offer all the popular rolls you love, and ordering is a breeze with their modern iPad system. The quality of the food is truly amazing. We visited on Valentine’s Day, and while it was understandably packed, the experience was great. Due to the rush, a few items were missed initially, but the staff corrected it quickly. Even with some gaps between rounds, the quality of the sushi made the wait worthwhile. Delicious food paired with professional, warm service makes this a great All You Can Eat Sushi place.
