They sell vintage books, clothing , fanciful items, handmade bookmarks, and upcycled jewelry amongst antique furniture and comfy seating areas to read books. One can spend hours browsing new and old books in this bookstore for hours. The Netflix Series: The Summer I Turned Pretty was filmed there - starring Lola Tung, Gavin Casalegno and Christopher Briney. One of the most unique and joyful bookstore experiences I ever had in my life. A definitely go see place for book lovers in Wilmington, North Carolina.

So fun! My teen loves The summer I turned pretty and during a beach weekend we had an hour to kill and I knew Wilmington has a few film locations so we looked them up and choose this book store. It is a cute little store. Decorated so fun and uniquely. Store and area was very busy for a Sunday which I’m assuming due to the popularity of the show. Worker was friendly and kind. Definitely recommend stopping even if you aren’t a SITP fan!

Papercut Books is such a gem in downtown Wilmington! The space is beautifully curated, with a great mix of new titles, lightly used books, and some really unique vintage finds. It’s not just a bookstore—it’s the kind of place that feels cozy and full of character the moment you walk in. They also have an awesome selection of gifts and little treasures that make it easy to find something special, even if you're not sure what you're looking for. As a realtor, I love discovering spots like this that make our coastal communities feel so unique and welcoming. Can’t wait to go back!

I would describe this book store as an eclectic gem. A treasure trove for readers with broad tastes or those seeking the thrill of stumbling upon something unexpected and delightful.

This is truly the best bookstore I’ve ever been to! Everything about this store exceeds expectations. They have a wide variety of used and new books and occasionally some special edition books/book box items (Book of the Month, Fairyloot, Etc.). There is something to be found for everyone, regardless of cost— their used books are very affordable! Books aside, they have a great aesthetic and a wonderful assortment of gifts such as locally made candles, jewelry, and bookmarks. They also have a display for their monthly book club, which is always a joy to look at. Finally, their staff is some of the best to be found in Wilmington. They are always so kind and welcoming when you enter, and are always quick to talk about your book selection and/or recommend a book (their recommendations are always the best). Excellent bookstore, very organized, and the best classics section I've encountered in a very long time. Someone here has great taste in books! It's is a worthy stop of you are out and about exploring Wilmington. Then find a cozy place to sit and read and be THAT person.
