Visited this location on a weekday afternoon. It is located in a shopping center so plenty of parking. This locating also has a Starbucks. This B&N had what I expected to see and enjoy when visiting. I found a couple of books while browsing. They have a kids section, puzzles and games, Legos. There is a section with bookmarks, journals, cards, etc. checkout is at the front of the store. There were plenty of staff to provide directions and suggestions.

It is okay. Barnes and Noble have that stagger/distract set up with the tables in the front. It is not ADA accessible and is difficult for people in wheelchairs to get around. Their handicap button to open the door has also been broken for a long time, and the bathrooms really aren't accessible.

I get it. It is the day before Christmas. The store is jammed. The workers are all running on caffeine and a dream, but still fat boy Dave Gruff (not his real name) who didn't shave today should know how to be courteous to customers and absolutely know how to use a computer to find a freaking book for a customer. Dave got visibly irritated when I asked him if he was having trouble finding the book, and he said, "give me a minute will ya!" (He had his minute. I hope Wayne the manager gives him either the training he needs or the warning he deserves) In a tone not befitting a quality customer centric retail professional. No I don't go in BN often. Twice in two years. Most the time when I do go, the BN book stackers seem to have caught the same virus as the Lowes or Home Depot employees. One of the symptoms of the virus is that the valuable customer becomes invisible. As a former HR customer service manager, we should all expect more in spite of what ever the conditions are, Christmas or no Christmas. When you get bad service from the "Daves" out there retail world, speak up. Call Wayne at BN/Wilmington, tell him about the low service quality. Or pretty soon we all are going to be buying our books on line. Wait we already are! As an aside for Wayne: I watched "Dave" working from afar and he treated a much younger female customer with much more respect. Dave even smiled. So, I'm going to make a guess here, that this is may be an age related HR problem. In a market that is nearly 50% people over 55 this could be a problem worth watching Wayne. Since "US" 55 and older customers buy more books and hold up our economy.

It was ca-razy busy with people holiday shopping. I had my kids with me struggling to just find one book and get out of there. Thankfully there was someone working there where it seemed his only job was to lead you exactly to where the book you were searching for was located. I am so grateful for that guy cuz he made a stressed out mom have a drastically easier experience! Especially since I was looking nowhere near the correct spot lol

What a horrible experience purchasing gift cards online. Two out of three orders were arbitrarily cancelled… for no reason. Never purchasing anything online again. Website and Customer service deserve less than 1 star.

Really enjoy just going and getting a latte from Starbucks and roam through the store to see what new books they have. Great place to go on a rainy day. Prices are good.

Made a purchase this evening and wasn’t offered a bag. I then asked a woman who was counting the drawer for a bag and was asked "for what"? The cashier that rung us up came back over and gave us a bag, and he then was asked by the woman if we paid for the item! Unacceptable snotty and rude behavior that was uncalled for! If the item wasn’t a Christmas gift, I would have demanded a refund and purchased somewhere else!
