What an adorable, wonderful bookstore. I am so glad that I stumbled upon it. It's right next to Kramer's, and so I stopped in. Such a great selection of Chinese books, as well as other books by Asian, Asian-American, and Pacific Islander authors. Books are available in English and other languages. There is a solid selection available. The staff was kind and I highly recommend that you support this small, independent bookstore!

I visited JF Books on a weekend afternoon and was pleasantly surprised by its large selection of Chinese-language books, covering literature, history, art, philosophy, and more. Despite its relatively small size, the bookstore has a cozy and inviting atmosphere, making it a great place to browse at a leisurely pace. It wasn’t crowded when I went, which added to the relaxed experience. The staff were friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome. Had a wonderful afternoon at the JF Bookstore today. Thanks to Prof. Pei for sharing a great talk that provided a lot of amazing insight for readers who care about China. When JF Bookstore was in Shanghai, it was known for selecting and displaying the best books and for providing public spaces that contribute to the community, and I'm glad that it has maintained the same great qualities in the DC as it always has. It's become a solid reason for me to continue staying in DC! Thank you!

It’s amazing to find such a great book store is finally opened in the DC. There are not only great books on China in both simplified and traditional Chinese language, but also good collections of books on Asian studies in English. I’ve got a big pile of books and their lovely canvas bag. Definitely will come back many times to show my support.
