Umi Fine Japanese & Asian Cuisine

Came to Umi Japanese food on a visit while out of town for work. I ordered the rice cakes seafood platter and it was very interesting to eat I suggest you try it more as an appetizer. Good food friendly service definitely worth a try thank you for a pleasant evening.

Very fresh and delicious sushi! Highly recommend trying the Jalapopper — it’s amazing and full of flavor.The owner is incredibly kind and truly cares about making every customer happy. Definitely a place I’ll come back to! When you order the poppers ask for the square cut topping ..not mashed.

This is a busy great place for Japanese food. Set in a strip mall, right off the highway,near several hotels. The staff and owners are super nice, friendly and accommodating. The menu is large but not overwhelming. There were 3 chefs behind the sushi bar -each making eye-appealing creations. We went for lunch, as we perused the menu and the blackboard full of specials we were served water and ordered a Scorpion bowl and the best lychee martini. I ordered the appetizer of Uni topped with quail eggs that was just received from Japan and the tuna tartare for my meal. My husband ordered the volcano roll. Oh-so good! The Uni was so fresh and sweet. My tuna tartare was big enough for 2-3 servings. The tuna was fresh with creamy avocados over seaweed salad. Topped with tobiko/ikura and crunchy tempura flakes. It was sweet, salty, a little spicy,smooth & crunchy all at the same time. Excellent. The volcano roll was enough for 2-3 people also. It was a spicy salmon roll topped with scallops, spicy tuna, & crab stick (among other food item) in a delicious sauce. So good. To say the least we went home with left overs. The staff checked in with us several times to see if everything was to our liking. We love this restaurant-great place, good atmosphere. We would recommend this place to all sushi lovers. And we definitely will be back.

Umi Fine has a large menu of traditional Japanese, Korean and many Sushi and Sashimi options. They feature Waygo beef and Toro tuna both as stand alone mains and in several rolls. The restaurant is in a strip mall alongside 128 and easy to get to if you trust the GPS.

Wow. Amazing. Everything we ordered was wonderful. Highly recommend the BLACK COD KASUZUKE. Flakey, flavorful. So good we ordered the plate twice. We sat at the bar and Jeremy was so wonderful! Really helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. 10/10 we will be back.

Walk in and you feel special with beautiful folded napkins and chopsticks. Loved the delicious food and cold beer. Loved my general gao’s. Beef skewers had lots of flavor. Tempura was so good too. It was very nice meeting the chief and fun waiter.

Fine Japanese and Umi definitely dont go together. Guys please add a little more meat/protein to your dishes at least.
