Super cool, so many interesting books. I wish there is a closer B&N with me.

This place can be a welcome reprieve on a road trip out of Southern California to the Central Coast. Do yourself a favor and get off the freeway, park in the shade of a tree in their huge parking lot and get an iced coffee at B&N. Stretch those legs by walking up their elevator. Here, I bought Stephen King’s novella, "Rita Hayworth & Shawshank Redemption." It was only $5 at the barista counter. 🤣 I also met an author signing his books there one day.

I love book stores! This one is pretty spacious. The lady helping us knew exactly which books we were looking for and where to find them. The cafe had nice options. The escalators were broken the day we visited. So, we walked up them to the second floor. There’s an elevator available.

I’ve had a few runs ins with one of the managers named Rachael, who was very rude to my friend and I. We were being respectful and understanding of their policies and when they brought in the manager to approve the transaction, she was super short tempered and snarky with us. We were trying to return a vinyl which was badly damaged by transit via their online website. In past events, we have returned products with no difficulty at all receiving store credit or a replacement item. However, the lovely manager Rachael told us that she seen us here before and she knows that we know the policies and how we cannot get to credit for them. Which is fine, but she kept being unprofessional in her tone and in her choice of words. She told us that that she didn’t understand why we kept trying to get a different result each time(We were just trying to return the item!). We were just trying to get our money back or get a replaceable item and there was no need for the Snark.. Barnes & Noble‘s is a corporate company and should understand the value of the customers and also the worth ethics that should be presented in a job especially as manager. I respect that having to deal with people is hard, but just for a simple return shouldn’t have caused such an uprising for no reason whatsoever. Thank you for reading and have a lovely day.

Love driving 45 mins to come here to find a sign on the door saying temporarily closed due to power outage, with all the lights on inside. 101 north is closed atm and the detour to get home will be almost 2hours! Thanks so much B&N. No wonder it’s best to buy media on Amazon now 🙁

Delaney assisted me in finding the perfect notebook. She was extremely professional, helpful and courteous. This was the best retail experience I have ever had. She must be the best employee they have? I’d give her a raise if I was in charge. Gotta keep good employees happy. I will be visiting the store much more often.
