This is a fantastic Barnes & Noble. It's massive, well organized, and has a great cafe. They have so many books. So many. From fiction, non-fiction, history, cookbooks, self-help, classics, current events, horror, everything you can think of. Then of course they also sell collectibles, board games, vinyl & CDs, and other book-related whimsy. Last time we visited we spent easily a full hour, getting lost in the shelves and finding so many interesting titles. Definitely one of my favorite B&N locations in the area.
Great big store in a very nice upscale strip mall. So much selection and nice staff. I liked the large magazine section and the way they help you find books with big signs (like cook books here!). VictorB
Never been to a 2-story bookstore before and I was so excited to explore!! The first floor seemed to have a good selection, but the second floor was subpar. The sections up there really didn’t have much of a selection. I recall looking for medical and nurse books—things may have changed since I’ve been, but I was sad to leave without making a purchase. Those at the registers were kind, but the staff on the second floor, couldn’t be found. And note that if you’re a Starbucks Rewards Members, they don’t scan your app here. So overall, the experience of two-stories, fun. Cons: the selection is kind of 50/50 depending what you’re looking for. Then having to get coffee before entering store if you want your coffee rewards lol.
This was a lovely day. The two young men working in the Sbux kiosk were lovely. Very friendly and helpful. They made this a great visit. On a busy Monday during holiday season. Yet the smiles and goid mood they shared with us was genuine! Keeps me believing there's hope! Thank you gentlemen! Visit 12/30/25 at 1:30pm. Sorry I didn't get their names.
I am writing to express my deep disappointment and concern regarding an incident that occurred at the Westlake Village location during the recent fires and power outage. Like many others, I sought refuge in your store for cover and safety, and to charge my phone in case of an emergency. While I was sitting alone on the floor, working, and charging my phone, a fellow patron repeatedly attempted to engage with me, assuming I did not speak English, likely due to my being a person of color. Despite my clear indication that I was not interested in conversation, this individual persisted in bothering me, and eventually involved a Barnes & Noble staff member. The staff member approached me multiple times, tapping my shoulder without consent and asking me to move, which was disruptive and intrusive. Moments later, the same patron again tapped my shoulder multiple times, continuing to invade my personal space and harass me. The man did not allow me any opportunity to rise and move out of the way without forcing physical contact. I expressed discomfort and asked the man to stop touching me, but this behavior continued, leading to an extreme amount of distress. The entire experience left me feeling unsafe and disrespected, as no one should have to endure repeated, unsolicited physical contact from strangers. I find it particularly troubling that a Barnes & Noble staff member did not intervene appropriately to protect my personal boundaries. This kind of behavior is completely inappropriate, and I strongly urge Barnes & Noble to review its policies and train staff to better handle such situations with sensitivity, respect, and professionalism. Given this experience, I regret to inform you that I will no longer be returning to your store or supporting this establishment. I hope you will take action to prevent this type of treatment from happening again in the
A place you won't want to leave once you've arrived; whether you're reading or not, you'll enjoy it here.
I have been a long term fan of the "Barnes & Noble Franchise since 2005. This location I discovered during Christmas 🎄☃️ 2021. I decided to make a return visit here. .in January 2022. This store has two levels.. It's a great location for parents, children, book hunting and just to relax ..sip a warm cup 🍵 tea, ☕ coffee..what have you. There also is a Starbucks ✨ mini cafe.. It's always busy...!! This location has a children's section,magazines..an assortment of 📚 books, Game's (upstairs).. 📀 DVD, CD 📀,..you remember those 👍 right..?! The employees are very 🙂👍👍 nice .. There is a escalator or elevator to use..to access the second floor.. The store 🏬 is very clean... Many displays... Today I popped in for a mental break... (I love books 📚..!!) While I was sipping my beverage I overheard a conversation between an employee and a customer.. Discussing the fact that people don't buy magazines or books much anymore these days ??!.. Talk about a shock to my ears . ! Come on friends..please support your local '' BOOKSTORES''.‼️ Writers depend on the public to make a living and people who don't read books... Well,..smh 🤔. Overall I like this store.. parking 🅿️ is convenient .. Stop by for a time out.. 👋
