There is no point ordering textbooks here. They will upcharge you with no notice, or cancel your order with no notice. Or, they take a month or two to arrive...so you are just in class without a textbook. Order from the publisher or another website.

My daughter did pseo, and we returned all books and they charged us saying we didn't return. They don't answer when you call and you can't leave a voicemail. They don't respond to emails either. Very unprofessional. Finally got ahold of someone and they did the books the wrong way for pseo students, but I did get my refund. The girl at the bookstore was very helpful once they answered the phone.

The SCSU merchandise is all super cute. They did get rid of some things from last year but that's to be expected. The reason behind my 2 stars is the switch to Barnes and Noble this year has BEEN A FREAKING NIGHTMARE. It's day 11 of the semester (Day 2 of Week 3) and I still don't have my materials for classes. I ordered my things weeks before the semester started and they still haven't been delivered to the bookstore. As a student that needs these for classes, not having them is not acceptable. Do better, and be more prepared.🤦🏼‍♀️

We need more variety at the Bookstore. Bobbleheads, the New Alternate Jersey for Men's Hockey that came out in November 2023, Mascot oriented gifts. It just seems like the same stuff every year! Anything new and exciting for students and alum.

It's the only bookstore on campus! Materials have always been available for me when I've gone looking, but I try decently hard not to buy materials from them anyway—they're expensive. As a service, they sometimes don't list the appropriate book for course materials online through their course materials finder tool. This semester, they listed the hardcover version of a textbook, and that is four times the price of the paperback! I really don't know how that system works. Last semester, they just listed the incorrect book entirely, which I picked up used from a third-party seller. So, now I have one book I've never read and may never read. Besides course materials and the one professor who required me to pick up a writing assignment book (a blue or green book for writing and handing in written exams), I don't have any desire to shop here. School swag is definitely not on sale. They email advertise pretty hard, which is a little disturbing. I figured that the campus store would be laser-focused on efficiency, but the same stuff is probably available anywhere else (if you are not bound to campus) for less. Overall, it's okay. Probably better than not having a campus bookstore. My enthusiasm, though? None.

Ordered a pair textbook online, one new, one used. Got both and what a surprise, they both have used stickers on them, and are noticeably used too. Worse, things were so backed up that there wasn’t even a chance to say anything about it.
