Amazing bookstore and amazing owners! They totally scratched my husband’s itch for his niche pulp fiction noir collection. He was thrilled to find authors he’s had a hard time tracking down before so this was such a rare find! The prices were great, shipping was super quick and everything arrived thoughtfully packaged. My husband is over the moon with his birthday gift. Thank you so much!

Best bookstore I’ve ever visited. Worth the effort if you’re into hard to find books. The staff was so nice and accommodating. I bought a stack of books and had them shipped to my home. Made my life easier walking around the city. Package arrived in perfect condition with everything safe and sound. If you’re into pulp noir sci fi detective crime mystery type stuff, this place is a gold mine. I can’t wait to go back.

I found some great books here. I'm happy Maria was able to ship them for me since I was just visiting SF. Prices are fair on some things and a little steep on some as well, but they had the best selection of old/vintage books of all the bookstores I visited in the area. My books arrived yesterday, and everything was packed well.

Terrific spot, I didn’t have the pleasure of going to their old location, but the new shop is bright and welcoming with a friendly shop dog. The selection is small but wonderful to browse through, lots of great vintage stuff. Despite my best laid plans to hold myself to 1 book, I left with 4.

I am sure it was a good bookstore to visit in previous years but, that is no longer true. Don't bother wasting your time making an appointment to see the store. All you get to peruse are the few books in the lobby near the front door and cash register. You do not get to look at the whole store. There was very little to look at. It was not worth walking up all those hills in San Francisco to go to this store. The owner was cold and unfriendly. A terrible visit on our mostly great vacation. When we asked about certain books she told us to look online. Really?

Had a great experience here. Ron was very accommodating on the phone and Maria was also very accommodating in person. Lots of interesting crime novels to see. Regret not going for the rare Charles Willefords I saw. Bought a few cheaper books: Breakout by Richard Stark, Maigret and the Apparition by Georges Simenon and The Big Heat by William McGivern (the latter two were recommended by Maria). Will make another appointment when I'm in the city again.
