An absolute San Francisco gem and must visit!! The space is beautifully curated and organized, we spent an hour and a half looking at all the selections and could have easily spent more. There is such a variety of cookbooks and vintage books, there is truly something for everyone and it is a fabulous place to get a gift. We got to meet the owner and she shared about the history of the building and was so warm and helpful. Cannot recommend enough!!! Also there are events and author talks they host throughout the month.

Amazing resource! I could have spent hours browsing. The staff was welcoming and knowledgeable about the literature in general and their stock specifically. They were also generous in praising the few other cookbook shops around the country. I bought the book I had come looking for and an older classic for myself and one gift. They mailed all three safely and promptly. I will be back the next time I am in town. I need more time to browse the vintage books about cuisines from around the world.

Early Jan 2025 Independently owned bookstore specializing in culinary reading materials built within a historical building. We were very fortunate to meet the owner and her partner. The collection is organized by type of subjects and cuisines. The place is definitely a gem from within and from outside its beautiful and whimsical mural.

Great little store with an amazing selection of books and wonderful owner/staff member. Also gave me great advice on where to get some ice cream after. Highly recommend a stop in if you are in the area and culinarily inclined.

Lovely, cozy bookstore tucked into a sweet SF neighborhood. The shop is well lit with large windows, and it is so inviting to enter and browse for all types of cookbooks. I attended a book signing event for the newly released 108 Asian Cookies with author Kat Lieu last week. The store owner is very supportive of rising authors and helping them get well deserved exposure! I definitely want to come back and look for books to buy in the future!

Don’t sleep on this incredible gem of a bookstore in Noe Valley. If you’re a cookbook lover, you’re in for a treat. Omnivore offers new and vintage cookbooks and also fun gift options like French rolling pins and frame worthy vintage cookbook pages. They also offer a number of book events with authors in person. Even a quick visit could make your day!

Great unique bookstore with so much friendly service, and such amazing things to look at and think about. I will try to come here each SF trip and take home at least one new book! Go if you can!
