Japan Center Kinokuniya Building

Pleasantly surprised that it's crowded and vibrant! While many old shops were gone, some were replaced with new businesses, which is what would drive the foot traffic and businesses back. Keep it up!

A fusión of US and Asia atmosphere here, great mall to find some interesting oriental boutiques and cuisines here!

The Japan Center has lots of little shops inside! Including many two story shops such as bookstores, candy shops and matcha/ice cream stops. Definitely recommend this place!

Cool authentically Japanese mall in San Francisco’s Japan Town.

I’ve been coming to Japantown for a few years now and didn’t know there was a mall here. It’s a bit innocuous, you could easily miss it walking down the street. There’s a few restaurants and a bookstore, with a fair digital and collectable section, and a few tiny arcades. A nano taste of Tokyo.

We have been there twice so far and it is such an adventure. Great Japanese products and cultural experiences. This last time we tried some takoyaki and mochi donuts. We still have more there to explore as there is a whole other side to the mall we haven't been to and we are looking forward to it!

One of the absolute best book stores ever! They can sell out if certain things fast so be prepared for that but you’ll still probably go home with something you didn’t expect.
