Barnes & Noble

Visited the Barnes & Noble location in Redding, CA and noticed a concern with Pokémon trading card availability. There were no Pokémon cards available for customers near the registers or on the shelves. However, a large quantity of Pokémon card products was visible in the back room from the sales floor. When I asked an employee about them, I was told the items were being held for an employee. This was not a small hold but multiple large Pokémon products including a Charizard UPC. Given that Pokémon trading cards are high-demand and commonly resold, holding them for employees before offering them to customers feels unfair and inconsistent with normal retail expectations. Sharing this for transparency so management and other customers are aware.

Bought 3 books for my Grandsons birthday day. We found them with no problem easy to navigate through the store to find what you want. It was very neat and clean they were helpful while in check out even suggesting another book from same author. Very friendly staff definitely will be back. I would suggest you check them out if you are looking for a book 📖.

I really like this new bookstore. The environment here is very nice and clean. The staff are very enthusiastic. If you apply for membership of the bookstore, you can get a 10% discount and points redemption event. Every Saturday, I will bring my children to the bookstore with my friends to read and buy books. And every Saturday at 11 am, there are staff reading to the children. Children can not only play here but also learn a lot here. This bookstore is great.

Really cool store but extremely expensive. Items are way over priced but there are lots of cool things and they have book readings for kids a couple days a week. I set up the pick up of a book online and was shown one price for the book online, but was charged more when I picked it up. It was a cheap book anyway and I was in a hurry so I didn't inquire on why the price was higher, but make sure you look at the price you are charged if you order a book to pick up.

It's Barnes and Noble! Either you love or it you hate it (I mean I guess you can be indifferent, but...). Their selection is impressive, the newer store front is bigger and more open than before, the people are friendly and helpful (though they can be hard to find), and the prices are still higher than Amazon and other online retailers... At least they're there for the gotta have right now book, reading, and BOARD GAMES need! I've heard the membership is good, but have yet to sign up. Wish the Christian section were bigger.

I love this store. This is the best store in town! I'm an avid book reader and I love to go in there. As you walk in the front door, the aroma of books is the first thing you smell. Then a little further back the coffee blends nicely with the smell of books. The lighting in here and the Ambiance is wonderful. When I'm having a stressful day I like to just walk in there. Even if I don't buy anything.

Beautiful store, well designed, and friendly staff. There is something for everyone on your list. A pleasure to shop here!
