I was truly impressed by Raptis Rare Books. An incredible store with an amazing collection of exclusive and rare books — many of them feel like one-of-a-kind pieces you won’t find anywhere else in the world. They have remarkable editions of The Godfather, Harry Potter, beautiful first editions, Don Quixote, and so much more. Any book you’re interested in is brought out and shown to you personally. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, and the whole place feels more like a museum than a bookstore. A truly special experience — highly recommended!
Raptis Rare Books is truly heaven on earth for book lovers. Whether you’re visiting Palm Beach or lucky enough to live here, this is an absolute must-see destination. The collection is unparalleled, easily one of the most extraordinary rare book collections I’ve ever experienced. We’re talking first editions and signed works from literary giants like Lewis Carroll, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Richard Bach (Jonathan Livingston Seagull), William Shakespeare, George Orwell, Ernest Hemingway, Mark Twain, Jane Austen, Charles Dickens, and so many more. The depth, preservation, and curation of the collection is simply breathtaking. The atmosphere feels like stepping into a private literary museum, refined, intimate, and inspiring. The team is knowledgeable, passionate, and incredibly welcoming, whether you’re a serious collector or just someone who deeply appreciates history and literature. If you’re in Palm Beach and have any love for books, history, or culture, Raptis Rare Books is a hidden gem you absolutely cannot miss.
Wow this stunning book store more like a gallery or museum is a book collectors dream! The staff is welcoming and knowledgeable they took the time to show and explain some of their books. They have a cigar lounge and coffee shop next door and it was all just so beautiful. I didn’t want to leave, I bought a book that was quite large so they shipped it for free as it wouldn’t fit in my luggage. When in Palm beach you just stop by!!
Raptis Rare Books is a true gem in Palm Beach for any bibliophile or collector. The moment you step inside, you're surrounded by an elegant, museum-like atmosphere that reflects the incredible value and history of the books they carry. Their collection is nothing short of exceptional, featuring an impressive array of first editions and signed copies from some of the greatest literary minds in history. Whether you're looking for a signed Hemingway, a first edition Fitzgerald, or a rare piece of political or scientific history, Highly recommended for collectors, literature lovers, or anyone who appreciates the beauty and significance of rare books.
Had such an incredible first experience at Raptis! The young lady working was as friendly as could be and extremely knowledgeable. As a person in recovery, I was pleasantly surprised when I saw their First Edition of Alcoholics Anonymous. To see that there really put some things in perspective as to its cultural impact on society. And my life. Cannot wait to come back and see what else catches my eye!
I can only base this rating off no prior knowledge of rare books*** that being said…here what I took away: -every genre I could think of was there -pricing tags on all the books really helps blow your mind and appreciate things you didn’t know existed -it has the setting of what a rare bookstore from a movie looks like (along with that rich smell) -I’m not into rare books but have such a greater appreciation of what they’re doing after seeing it in person -my favorite was the extremely rare first edition of "The Hobbit" MIND BLOWING 🤯 TO SEE Must visit hope you enjoy!
Not only is this place a vibe, but the woman working was super helpful and showed us some cool stuff!
