MiraCosta College Bookstore - Oceanside Campus

Jackie at the Oceanside campus was incredibly helpful and kind. She not only assisted my daughter in looking up the materials she needed for each class, but she located all of them for her. She also explained the California Promise details to us, which saved us money on her purchases. Thank you for all your kindness and assistance.

FALSE REVIEWS: Most positive reviews are from people unknowingly writing a review regarding the school as a whole under the reviews for this business. From my understanding, the bookstore is privately owned. Prices are not competitive compared to local stores. Their supply in person is not much more than a single type of backpack, pen, pencil, and filler paper. Online has slightly more variety but still greatly limited. They penny pinch. They charged more to my card than what my total was. I have screenshots of my order to show what my total was supposed to be. Im assuming they added some hiden fees. I had to place an order 3 times because they: deleted some of my items then tried to get me to pay for shipping because now the order wasn't above the $100 free shipping then they decided to refund part of my order so it seemed easier to discard the whole order again. It took me 3 weeks to get most of my money back. Needless to say, wouldn't recommend even if it's free to you (financial aid). It's not worth the headache or time you will be spending dealing with this company. Anyone shopping here is a student and we know how precious our time is during these times in our life where one task is completed at the sake of another important task. The free #2 pencil isn't worth it.

Parking lot just beside the Student services and MiraCosta College bookstore. Beautiful campus and extremely helpful and kindhearted people work here. From the admin to the staff and the educators, everything about this place is magical. They say College is a place where dreams can come true. This is a college that helps students build their dreams. Whatever those dreams may be. And if there isn’t a path, they will help support you as you blaze your own trail to new heights of personal and professional development. The materials are affordable. The people are outwardly friendly and unbelievably generous with time and commitment to their students. The campus is beautiful and welcoming. The class sizes are intimate and allow for the students to make real connections with their classmates and teachers. MiraCosta goes out of the way to be a central figure in the community’s culture, social interactions and path to higher education. I’m a lifelong Advocate for the many benefits and opportunities provided by and through MiraCosta College.

Small but it had most of the things I was looking for. Be aware some books can only be rented, I got it online instead. Also, they had a lot of empty shelves. I was looking for whiteout and they didn’t have any.

Very helpful. The attendant went out of her way to help me. Found my book and helped with other materials as well. I was already good with the customer service, but to go above and beyond, you don’t find that type of service anymore. Thank you

Okay place. Can order your textbooks online and get them either shipped or pick up here. Prices are often higher than Amazon, but they also offer book rentals. Can also get supplies and tech. Friendly people, often busy.

You'll get better results throwing your money into a black hole. You'll pay for your textbooks and then get emails saying everything is ready for pickup, only for them to say your order never showed up, and then they'll just try to con you into taking a PDF version of the book instead of the physical version you paid for. I've never had a positive experience purchasing books through them. Just buy your stuff through Amazon, these guys are useless and way more hassle than they're worth.
