The Open Book Northridge

Love this place! The prices are great. My friend showed me this bookstore today, I’m so glad they did. I appreciate how well thought out each section is decorated to match its genre which makes the browsing experience better. They also carry more than just books, including little knickknacks. It reminds me of The Last Bookstore in DTLA. I’ll definitely be coming back with my partner!

I love The Open Book. Among the last of a dying breed, they are keeping book trade alive. I don't want to have to go to Barnes and Noble. I want to get a grubby $3 used copy of The Picture of Dorian Grey. It has heart, it's alive. It's a reminder that we as a species are sharing information, not just "selling books" to a capitalistic end. The Open Book feels just that - open. From staff curations, vintage and rare prints, banned books, graphic novels, and many things that aren't books at all (last time we visited they had a pachinko machine!) you are bound to find something to your taste. Definitely pay a visit. Keep this trade alive. It's good for humanity.

What a hideen gem!. Now located in the Northridge mall. This store is amzing, great selectiong and prices. The store ifself is very easy to navigate and has signs for esch section. The also have zone where you can sit and read. They sale more than just books. They have dvds, accesorios, action figures and much more. The staff is really kind and helpfull. They also mentioned if they didnt have a book they can check back stop and have if ready in a few days. The store is just a great place to buy book. Highly recommend.

I came to finally check out this new bookstore that took over the Disney store in the Northridge Fashion Center on the second floor. I thought this as just another book store but was totally wrong. They sell jewelry here as well and have like a showroom toward the back of the store. They don't allow drinks or food inside so be aware of that. They also have a kids area toward the back as well if they want to read a book there. They also don't do refunds or exchanged here so I don't think that's a good business strategy. I didn't really look at their books collection here but I might when I come back again.

I Enjoy Buying books from here I really like how attentive and friendly the employees are I highly recommend buying your books here also they sell all kinds of jewelry and antiques 😀

I appreciated this book store- for reasons on being very affordable on book prices and closer than popular large name book stores. Actually a quite large book store. And it was also very quiet not to busy. Recommend this store. They had two sections in "self help books" which I appreciated. I went to find a book on self love or self worth, and I managed to find 1 book on self love after searching 1 hour of their book shelf in the self help section. I Also picked up 1 book on " Bug Out Bag" which has been great!

Lovely and beyond helpful staff, book selection and prices. Can’t wait to come back!
