This is my Ultimate store to purchase DVD's & CD's for my Collection, as well as many collectibles. They have EVERYTHING for fans of Horror, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Anime, Manga, etc. They sell used books of every type, a huge collection of Dvd's, Cd's, vinyls, video Games and an incredible collection of action figures from horror, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Anime & Manga. Book Off in Manhattan is a true gem and a feel-good place for book and anime-manga fans. Walking in, you immediately get that comforting, treasure-hunt vibe—rows of neatly organized books, manga, anime DVDs, games, and collectibles, all at surprisingly affordable prices. Whether you’re hunting for a classic novel, a hard-to-find manga volume, or just browsing for something fun, it’s easy to lose track of time here. What really sets Book Off apart is their very cool buying program—you can sell your books and stuff directly to the store, which makes it more than just a shop. The process is simple and well-organized, and it’s great to see your old favorites find new homes. On top of that, the staff is very helpful and friendly, always ready to answer questions, help you locate items, or explain the buying process. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and the constantly changing selection means every visit feels fresh.

Bookoff is a lovely place to shop for people of many interests, whether that be books, video games (new and old), action figures/statues, movies and music (vinyl/cds) and more. However the prices are quite high. I understand rent is probably expensive and they have to pay the bills somehow, but some of what was being sold was insanely overpriced. For example, I found the album TNT by Tortoise on cd, and checked the price to see 50$. This is an album that you can get on Discogs for like.. fifteen dollars after shipping. And the condition of the case was pretty bad as well. Many of the other CDs were priced like new even if they were kinda beat up or not worth that much in the first place. Definitely some cool stuff to see but maybe not purchase.

Must visit if you’re a book/anime/game fan. I could spend hours in there, everything is jam packed into it so you really have to scour all the aisles. And also come back in frequently because their selection is constantly changing! Great place to sell your old books and games too

Love this book off location. I would say that some things are priced weirdly but most of the time i’m getting a cd or dvd that is usually marked $1-$12 and they have a great selection of $1 cds. Recently tho they have been changing the cd and dvd section every time I go. I’m upset that they got rid of their hip-hop/rnb section of the cds as it was easier to find what I was looking for. I don’t memorize every artists name so I really relied on that specific section of the cds to find albums I like. I hope they bring it back 🙁

Great place to visit to check out books and figures. The store is divided upon collection of figures, games, and books. Good quiet place to spend in a loud fast paced part of the city. The pricing of the books are fair in my opinion. They also have a small section for retro games which was interesting. Feel like this is a gem where you can pick up some good buys depending on when they restock. Looking forward to revisiting Bookoff and recommend to anyone that is near the are looking for a place to check out.

Amazing used book store in a convenient location in the city. I was looking to kill some time before a matinee show and this was perfect. I could easily spend hours in here. The prices are so low and the selection is so large. I love that there's a clearance section for $1 books upstairs, all organized by genre. There's quite a large Manga collection downstairs as well as video games and Funko Pops. The checkout was quick and the service was friendly. I also love that it's right next to a coffee shop. I am definitely coming back here next time I'm in town.
