Magus Books & Herbs

This is a great little metaphysical shop. Wide selection of books, herbs, and treasures. There is also Tarot and Oracle readings available at the back table. There is also a classroom that is used for various classes. I highly recommend the classes.

Such an awesome shop! Can't wait to go back, it was absolutely wonderful 💖 the lady I talked to was the sweetest. I got some lavender, and these other cute/awesome things!

This popped up when I looked up crystal stores. Does not really have any crystals. First time checking this place out. When you first walk in, looks like mainly just books but when you go in further you start to see the other cool things they have to offer. Has a nice collection of tarot boards, dream catchers, jewelry, incense and herbs of course. Friendly staff, and good variety of things. Definitely worth checking out, but not if you are specifically looking for crystals.

Visited for the first time today, and was met by some very lovely, friendly people! So many great items, really great prices, and when I was checking out, they were suddenly speaking to each other and to me like we were old friends. As someone from the south, it felt like I was back home in the midst of all that southern hospitality. Highly, HIGHLY recommend! ✨🖤

I have never walked into a spiritual store and felt so unwelcome. The lady behind me the register was extremely put out by any question we had. Her energy towards me and my daughter was strong enough I wrote this as we were leaving. I travel the country looking for stores to pick up pieces and by far this was the worse experience I have had in 20years. I have my ideas why I was unwelcome however the ugly doesn’t need to be spoken. My advice there are many other stores to choose from and spend your money. That come with a positive welcoming energy find one .

I have loved Magus books since the day Roger opened the original Dinkytown location, but now here we are many years later and under new ownership and a new location and I can only say that "so far so good!" I have not had the pleasure of meeting the new owners as of yet but I can say that the employees I've had the chance to meet were friendly and VERY helpful even as the clock ticked close to closing time they gave us a warm customer service experience. As well as being undoubtedly the best place to find books and information on any number of occult topics you can also find many magical gifts, tools, trinkets, and charms. Some or these items are novelty while many of them are truly the real thing that you will find the serious practitioner very satisfied to have been welcomed into a place of such warmth and knowledge for the many who have found themselves through the doors to Magus Books! I almost forgot to mention that they have probably the largest and BEST selection of incenses, a wide variety of bulk herbs, and lots of candles, jewelry, essential oils, tools of the trades, wonderful variety of Art, and they are also one of the few places whom carry a wide variety of a special medicinal plant known commonly as Kratom. If you have never been to Magus Bookstore , well what are yo waiting for?! This is the place you have been looking for (or my guess is, you wouldn't still be reading this review 🙂 ) I'm sure they will great you with a smile and just as they have always been helpful to me, I'm sure they will be happy to help you with your specific needs as well! Such a special energy in Magus! Very knowledgable staff and plenty to look at. Jamie was exceptionally kind and fun to talk to during my last visit! She made me feel very welcome and was sure to assist me with seeing things in the cases, any questions I had, etc. I always buy my incense here, but it’s also so nice to have access to such a large collection of books, tarot & oracle cards, and herbs. I hope they will get more angel aura in stock soon!
