I was looking for a particular book. There was no one at the information desk. However, a short time later, a young later came over and proceeded to look up the title and author with the offer to order it for me. Unfortunately, they didn't have it at all. She was very kind, respectful and considerate. I'm grateful.
Went in here to join the summer reading program. They gave a a program for kids to read 8 books and get a free book between July 1st thru August 31st. Walked around to check out the place and it's stunning. You could hang out here all day. Not too quiet like a library and also not loud like a regular store. There's a reading center for kids and a stage for public reading. Puppets and plushes for kids. And a Starbucks café inside. Deals are everywhere. Great selection of toys. Bathrooms are clean and available. This place is awesome.
the vibe is still great. it always has been. the soft chairs are all gone. there're books everywhere. and magazines and board games and trinkets etc. but they don't ever seem to have the book i want haha. but if you like popular and mainstream books, they have them. it's fine. but amazon always has what you need haha.
My favorite retreat when I want to get some quiet time and a new book. They've got a good selection even if there's one you're missing you can order it the spot. Personally wish they had more Warhammer 30k/40k books but they've drastically increased their adult Manga selection which was surprisingly nice. Their Starbucks is quality and I love buying a new book every couple weeks and reading a magazine there while I drink my coffee. Employees are all genuinely helpful and seem like avid readers and very aware of authors and titles. Huge row of magazines for every hobby which they renew monthly.
My son loves this place. Who would like to see one of his puppet shows?
I love visiting Barnes & Noble, especially for the cozy atmosphere. There’s nothing like the smell of books filling the air, making it a perfect place to spend time. I also enjoy grabbing a coffee from the Starbucks inside—it’s a great spot to relax while flipping through a good book or studying. The staff is always friendly, and the ladies working there are so kind and helpful. It’s one of my favorite places to unwind.
I usually tend to have very pleasant experiences with the cashiers here, I have been using this barnes and noble since I was a kid, so around 15 plus years now, always spending a lot of money when I come, and regularly coming back for holidays etc as I love getting books for gifts during every special occasion possible. I always use my mom’s phone number for the rewards program, since she has nearly fully converted to audio books years ago now and i’m the only one in the family buying physical books anymore. Today when giving the cashier my mom’s number, and preemptively saying "the name will be under" and proceeded to call out my mom’s name before she was able to fully put in the number. I claimed her free tote bag, as she collects those and we live together, so i’d be able to give it to her when I got home, and I continued to check out. As i’m paying, a separate cashier named Felicia calls over the one checking me out, and begins whispering (albeit not very quietly) asking if she ID’d me to use my mom’s membership. Never once in my 15 plus years of going here have I heard this ridiculous policy or rule, and to try and be sneaky about it right in front of the customer is HIGHLY unprofessional. To the cashier Felicia, please consider the TIME and PLACE of your actions when you are on the clock and representing a business, you have lost your store a very loyal and well paying customer.
