Addison's Bookstore

Addison’s is like visiting a fairy tale library! The owner is so kind and friendly, he took the time to unlock and show me his rarest editions. I also got to meet his daughter, whom the store is named after. Such a gorgeous place & has that heavenly old book smell. I never wanted to leave. The books are in excellent condition and priced very fairly.

Felt welcomed right at the door. A wonderful little shop if you're looking for a large variety of older books for a reasonable price. You may find some with tears/damage but I think that's the beauty of it. These books were loved at one point or another and are looking for new homes that will continue to love or cherish them. Hope to come back again one day.

Such a unique bookstore with vast selection of classics. Discovered it on a walk while exploring Knoxville for the weekend and so glad we did as it will be a must for when we come back.

Nice quiet bookstore with an eclectic collection. Great place to browse unsure of the cool books you might find. They have a chess board, nice chairs and a very cool conference room.

Officially obsessed with this cozy, lil shop where you can find so many rare and unique books! These books are absolutely priced to their true value (as they should be)! The environment is just perfect for a relaxing evening of browsing through their wide selection! Going in, I wasn’t planning on purchasing anything, but ended up finding a book I had to get! When checking out, the employee was so kind in telling me how the books for the shop are found (she even showed me some they were currently researching to possibly add to their collection)! Such a neat experience and I will DEFINITELY be back with all my friends!

As another reviewer wrote, I instantly felt welcomed and calmed by the atmosphere and aroma of books. It wasn’t musty though many mass paperbacks were yellowed and crinkled. The variety allows those with or without a budget to find something unique. Make sure to venture downstairs too! I love the special touches and fun "Blind Date with a Book."

Great space, great vibe. Downstairs is an eclectic mix of books. Well organized and not typical bestsellers. Good cookbook selection. Best suited to open mind browsing, maybe not hunting for specific items.. Ground level ( upstairs) is classic, old editions, all quite beautiful. Also well organized. A few chairs, ready chess table, and an AMAZING Asian tea bar round out the space. Well worth a stop 'n' look.
