S & J Gospel Shop

I definitely wont be going back here. I walked in and the lady at the front desk did greet me. I told her I was looking for a leather back study bible . She took me to the back and showed a few bibles. Now here's where things get weird. Im taking my time looking through the bibles to find out which Bible I want. Because I have a Greek and Hebrew Bible kjv and I just need another reulgular study bible. She comes back to tbe back and says " is there anything I can help u with" now its not what she said but how she said it. So I said to her well am I taking to long? She said we'll no but all the bibles are pretty much what we have. And I said " ok" . I mean its not like the store was packed it was just me and another man who was just sitting in there talking to her. I felt rushed and I saod to her hey these bibles are any on sale ? And she said no... now guys this is black friday why is these prices so high for the word. Are u guys selling bibles or trying to get rich here. So I said the life application Bible is 88.00 and this same Bible online is 34.99 can we do a price match or take a certain percentage off. I want the Bible im willing to wait if I have to. She said " we dont sell the bibles like amazon prices are" I said we'll you should because its the same Bible. Bibles are crazy expensive. The same bibles u can buy on amazon for way over half the price and that even includes shipping. I seen bibke here in this store 99.00 and on Amazon 32.99 and 10 dollars shipping fee. This store reminds me of thise baptist churches that take up 5 offering before u even hear the word. My advice is the people want to be able to buy the word and not get ripped off. We are not living in a bubble. There's the internet now and people can easily go online and purchase a bibke and get it tht very next day wake up people wake up. And instead of paying 99.00 for a leather back Bible I went to amazon and got the same Bible for 34.99 same leather back study bible. Lower the prices its God's word not ur word.

They have lots of books and Bibles. Loose cards and boxed cards! Mini posters, stuff for kids ministries, offering plates, gift bags, bookmarks, just a little of this and that.

Very nice lady. Friendly service.

I was so delighted to find that we had a Christian bookstore in Fayetteville; recently moving from California where all the Christian bookstores had closed down. S&J is large, clean, offers a great variety of most things. I appreciate that she has some chairs over by the book section so you can sit down as you're thumbing through the books. I've probably been there 20 times & the owner/operator always welcomes me. She speaks softly so you must listen carefully for her reply. She seems to be a very quiet soul but extremely helpful if you ask for anything. Maybe for some of you leaving reviews, instead of criticizing it would be more Christ-like if you thanked God for the opportunity to have a God focused store in town whose purpose is to serve you with items that will hopefully strengthen your relationship with God.

Books are just way to expensive. We dont live in thr times where we dont have amaozn and other online sites..lower the books please. There as a book I saw 100 bucks and 23.95 on Amazon. Several in there just way to expensive

The woman working was unbelievably rude. She never spoke to us until giving us the total for our purchase. She was on a tablet while sitting in a chair. She never asked if we needed help or were looking for something. We're in the store for around 30 minutes. We will not return to this store.

Nice large and new location. Staff was helpful once I asked for assistance. Staff could be more proactive in giving assistance and servicing customers. Overall a great experience and congratulations on the beautiful, new, larger location.
