City Center Gallery & Books

My friend and I experienced so much warmth and hospitality at City Center Gallery & Books. Diane and Hank took the time to listen to our stories, discuss our most beloved books, and share their own stories of building this incredible community of small businesses in Fayetteville. We were visiting from out of town, but we have never felt more at home.

I came in just to browse the selection of books they had because I had never been inside before. The woman and man inside watched me walk in but never spoke, smiled, said hello or offered to help me find anything. They literally acted like I didn’t exist and that made me not enjoy the experience. The layout is really nice and they have a children’s section that I thought was cool also. Their old books are extremely unique, I even saw one dated from the 1800s. Just the overall customer service gave this review a 1 star. 😣

I LOVE this bookstore and all the people who work there! I definitely suggest sharing all your special books be " rehomed" to this lovely place. They give a generous credit and I know someone will love my books just as I did!!! It's a pleasure trip every time I visit!!!!

Reasonable prices, lots of variety, and a classic, small bookstore feel. Great to peruse all sorts of things. There is a nice little section of all Lafayette books and such that was neat to see.

The owners of this beautiful bookstore and art gallery are wonderful. No one who walks through the door is a stranger. Liz and Laura always happily greet everyone who enters the shop. They can direct you to the right book for any of your reading needs. Lastly, this business has opened up many opportunities for local artist, such as myself. They guided and assisted me thought my journey as an artist. It's almost like a second home for me.

Friendly owner and a nice selection of books ( especially vintage ones) for a reasonable price!

Great place and great people downtown. Always something interesting in there. They sell a lot of local art as well as books. So much fun!
