Nice selection of new and used (though not a huge or comprehensive selection). Friendly and knowledgeable staff who have read many of the books available.

What a lovely store! The ladies in the store were super helpful and friendly during my process of dropping off a bunch of books to sell. They were able to take quite a good number of books I brought in and advised me that the ones they couldn’t take they already had in stock. I decided to take the offer of the store credit and ended up leaving with some new books to add to my collection. I also bought one of the cute tee shirts they had inside. Mask policy is not required, but it is encouraged which I didn’t have a problem with since the space is pretty quaint. I thought the store itself was very well put together and they had a bunch of new as well as old selections to choose from.

Golden fig has a wide selection of used books I can’t find anywhere else! Most are very gently used and there are plenty of recent releases. You even can get 10% off your entire order by buying a newer book!

The books themselves are fairly priced and in pretty good condition as well. A nice selection as well and very clean store with a cute nook area to sit. The person checking us out on 2/11 had a bland attitude to us as well as another woman, the customer service could improve but past that it’s overall a pleasant store.

The Golden Fig is a regular stop for bookstores in the Durham area for me! It’s a small store, but he’s a well chosen collection of both new and used books. All used books are in very good condition. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. You can trade in used books for cash or store prices - they always seem fair in what they offer. Small parking lot can be a challenge if you go at busy times, but it’s worth it. You can also call ahead and they can tell you if they have something specific you’re looking for. Strongly recommend!

This is such a lovely little bookstore. I love that I can check their used book selection on their website so I know exactly what they'll have. I've ordered books through them and had a great experience with that as well. The employee at the front is always welcoming.
