Storyhouse Bookpub

Storyhouse is a beautiful bookstore. I visited here while in Iowa and got a few different books! The store clerk Hannah was amazing! She helped me find everything I needed. Whenever in Iowa I will definitely come back here.

Storyhouse is an adorable little bookstore in the East Village. The staff at Storyhouse are so kind and they always amaze me with how they know their customers. The store has a cute and cozy kids section along with many adult options. Abbey the owner plans and executes many great events that support the bookstore and surrounding community. Storyhouse is an inclusive place to be where you will always feel welcomed. Over the last year Storyhouse has started book clubs and they are the best. I’ve learned from attending book clubs and events that not only is Storyhouse amazing, but so are its customers.

Great selection! I would upload the video I took of all the recommended books, but it won’t load. I love seeing what people like to read and why. There was a section dedicated to that, which I enjoyed looking through. The store is inviting and enchanting. It’s like a cozy bookstore you see in a movie. Great selection of books overall!

This is such a beautiful, cozy, warm and friendly atmosphere. Perfect for relaxing, snuggling up in one of their comfy chairs and reading! The staff are so friendly as well 🙂 you will want to stop by and see and experience this bookstore!

This is the best bookstore I've ever been in while visiting Des Moines. The staff are incredibly kind, passionate about books, and know how to help you find what you are searching for. I went 2 times while in Des Moines!

Lots of new and popular books, classics, and smaller authors I hadn’t heard of. Looked like a nice large Kids’ section. Little bit of a small shop, so it got crowded very easily. I know most hard covers/paperbacks have a set price, but some items with the store’s own price seemed rather expensive.

This is my absolute favorite small bookstore in Des Moines. Every time I visit Des Moines I make sure to stop here and I am never disappointed. I love how they have small employee made summaries attached near books they recommend. I've never left here without at least two books.
