Park Road Books

This is the best bookstore! I was on the hunt for some new books and Park Road Books had so many of the ones I was looking for. They have a great selection and some beautiful editions of classics. They also have a lovely selection of stationery. The staff here is amazing; they were all so friendly and helpful. I prefer to shop local and this is definitely the place to go for books in Charlotte. Their prices are very fair. I can’t wait to go back!

This place is super cute, the employees are fantastic, and they have a cool selection of local authors. There were so many books you don't see just hanging out at bigger chain stores. I loved it. Extensive kids section, also.

After reading a few reviews left by others. I can’t imagine how anyone could write badly about this independent bookstore. From the moment we walked in, it was three of us by the way, employees were nice and eager to help us find a book. The owner happened to be there as well and she is super friendly! They have excellent staff who read a lot and if they have not read it, they know what customers are saying. This store has author signings and supports local authors and wraps your book if it is a gift. They are the gift. I even have them order my hard to find books because I want them to stay in high demand. Books in the back for kids are pretty extensive for a smaller seller, but I feel like they curate well and I never leave without an interesting find for a gift or for me. Journals, puzzles, cards, and just fun stuff for readers. Can you tell I love this store? 🙂

One of my favorite bookstores in Charlotte! The staff are super helpful, the selection is great, and there's even sometimes a store pet working security. Love coming here, even if it means leaving with 3 books I didn't need!

My all-time favorite mom and pop book store!! It's located in the Park Road Shopping Center. There are plenty of parking spaces so it's not bad. It's a cute, quaint little book store. From the moment you step in, you can smell the books and automatically are bombarded with different books and accessories. They have different sections. Fiction, nonfiction, crime, languages, and even school work books. They have a kids' corner and different seating options in the middle of the store in case you want to preview a book. It has a nice cozy feel to it, and the employees are very helpful if you have any questions or need help finding a certain book. If you're a fan of books and in this shopping center, definitely check them out.

I love this place!!! Very friendly and helpful staff. I like the setup with popular staff picks etc. Easy to find what you’re looking for. Plus if you are visiting from out of state…. Totally worth an uber drive BUT prepare to wait for the ride. There are plenty of shops to explore
