I am so glad this store is still around. There are a lot of books to choose from. They are nicely organized and have a lot to choose from. Prices are a little high for me, considering the exchange rate. I wish there was a public washroom available, as it really limited my time there. If I am leaving to use the washroom, I won't bother to walk back.

I really want to like this used bookstore, it is very alluring and I love the towering shelves of books. They are fairly affordable, or at least that’s what I thought before today’s visit. We came in to purchase some "What to expect when you’re expecting" types of books, which is very exciting! I found one that was perfect, however it had a receipt from the previous owner that was left inside the cover. The previous owner purchased this book used for $3.75! Henderson had it priced at $20.00! I couldn’t believe it, so I took it to the front, showed them what I found, and offered them $10. Keep in mind, I still purchased two other books from the same section for a total of $16. $20 for one more book seemed extremely steep for a used bookstore. They doubled down on their price and threw the receipt away right in front of me! Not a great look for them, to be honest. Sincerely, A frugal and frustrated mother-to-be.

I regret ever stepping foot into this bookstore. They are very shady and the books don't have prices on them listed anywhere -- not on the books and not listed anywhere within the store. My boyfriend told me to pick out a couple of books and he did as well. When we got to the register, they charged over $80 for four used books. These are USED books. I was completely stunned and wanted to tell my boyfriend to just cancel the sale but he bought them. I have a sick feeling after this transaction. No one in the store greeted us or offered to help us. The cashier was completely unfriendly and didn't ask if we found everything okay or make any kind of effort at friendliness or conversation which soured the entire experience even more. Again, these books had no prices listed on them. The cashier just quietly rang up the sale without saying anything to us. We didn't even know where she was getting the prices from and we still wonder if they just make up the prices as they go. Most of these books appear to be used library books complete with the plastic covering. There were random things in the store for sale like random used playing cards which just convey this feeling that the owners or are selling whatever used things they can find and it gives off a junky vibe. If you're going to sell books for basically the full price, don't have junk scattered throughout the store. The place smells like a musty old used book store. These are definitely not new books, so I don't know why they are charging premium/new pricing (or how they even come up with their pricing at the point of sale). I will never step foot in this place again. Total ripoff and unpleasant experience overall.

Cool store. Didn't like the employees to be honest. I left feeling ignored and unwanted. Great selection just don't ask for help finding anything, in fact don't go in with anything in mind, and you will probably find something awesome and affordable. Definitely a cool place to go and read.

Typical ripoff resellers. They take most of your books free "for donation" (probably to just end up on their shelves for several dollars each....) and give you pennies for almost new, expensive books. Terrible experience. These places may be good for buyers, but they are a nightmare for sellers.

06/24/23: I love the saying, "Don't judge a book by its cover," and it applies directly to this awesome bookstore. From the outside, you could wonder why this old bookstore has many reviews, but you will understand when you step inside To me, I was totally surprised with a world of books and books along hallways. I could find different kinds of books and immersed with them for several hours at this place. Please take your time to visit this amazing store. You will not regret Love it

Enjoying books, I’m impressed with Henderson Books. It’s a massive bookstore with used books in every section. The kids corner kept my six-year-old daughter’s attention for a long time and I was impressed with their travel section, often underrepresented.
