TBR Books & Tea

Such a cute bookstore and tea shop!! So glad we have this new bookstore in Baton Rouge. All the books are new and they are very up to date on their selections! They have lots of comfy seating to read in. There is a wide selection of gifts such as puzzles, tote bags, magnets and watercolor sets. They also have local tea available for sale and a tea bar to get hot tea as well! I will definitely be back!

This bookshop is so cozy and cute! I love to browse their shelves, especially the section with the library ladder (swoon!). Their tea/coffee bar is awesome, and there is even a separate room on the side with a fireplace to spend some time reading your new purchase. My kids like to spend time in the kids section while I am browsing the rest of the shop. Can't recommend enough! Baton Rouge needed this!

Such a cute store!! Loved the tea shop. Got a London fog and it was so yummy! Beware they add 2 taxes though: a Louisiana state tax and then a "city of Baton Rouge" tax… whatever that is. Added almost $10 to my order! Other than that, very cute shop with very nice ladies who run it. Definitely worth stopping in!! Will be coming back for sure!

This book store is such a cute, cozy, and friendly place to shop! They have a wide selection of books and TONS of fun books and toys for kids! It’s the perfect place to buy a gift for a friend or even a kids birthday party. Their selection of tea is AMAZING! This is a must visit store in BR!

TBR Books and Tea is truly the kind of place Baton Rouge has been waiting for! From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with an atmosphere that’s equal parts cozy, charming, and completely magical. The space is beautifully curated—every detail from the shelves to the tea bar is aesthetically pleasing and thoughtfully arranged. It’s spotlessly clean, well-stocked with an incredible selection of books, and staffed by the kindest, most welcoming team. We attended the grand opening in April and fell in love instantly, and the first children’s Saturday story-time was such a sweet, memorable experience. You can tell how much heart has gone into creating this space. My family and I can’t wait to be regulars. Supporting a local, independent business like this feels good—and in this case, it also tastes good (the tea selection is fantastic!). Thank you, TBR Books and Tea and owner Jamie Freeman, for bringing something so special to our community. Here’s to many more visits and stories shared.

This is the cutest little local bookshop! I love how spacious, clean, and bright it is. It's also so cool they have a space for tea and coffee as well as space for sitting, relaxing and reading. The staff were very sweet and informative. I really enjoyed my visit! Really recommend if you want to get away from shopping online!
