Divine Salon

Recently, I was visiting for a week from out-of-state and I stayed with my cousins in Calabasas, California. A beautiful suburb which I really enjoyed. Wonderful place, great cousins, great experience! Wanted to get haircut before I went home and my cousin, Alicia, suggested her stylist. But, unfortunately they were closed that day because of a "needed repair". Instead, I looked up other local salons and found this place. My cousin Alicia said one of her dear friends used to go there but said they had had some problems recently however I thought it's just one haircut so I should try it since it was so close. How bad could it be? When I initially walked in, I did not have an appointment but one of the 2 ladies that were working there introduced themselves and said if I just wait a while they could fit me in. So I was grateful and I waited while she was cutting and coloring someone else's hair. She was nice to me when I arrived, salon looked very pleasant, clean. then, the owner(as I learned) got into a long discussion and then a bit of an argument with her customer and it got fairly loud and honestly rude on behalf of the customer AND owner. As I sat there and waited , she said things behind this customers back after they left, which I found fairly insulting and inappropriate , especially where it was loud enough that I could hear it. After she got done on her "rant", she said she needed a "break" and took 20 minutes off,...Or longer which I didn't know because at that point I left. I thought this to be very unprofessional, Very inappropriate and I'm amazed that they're allowed to run a business like this. I would never return, but hopefully locals will get the same reaction if they encounter this and either have them calm down or treat their customers and their business with more respect. Terrible experience, terrible terrible. If I could leave ZERO stars, I would.

I adore Divine Salon in Woodland Hills. Jeanie has been cutting my hair for many years and I wouldn't dream of having anyone else do it! The staff is kind and helpful...especially Mary. Kudos to all!
