I recently had hand sewn extensions installed by Charlet at Lumeria. I suffered silently for years from hair shedding & thinning due to multiple life-stress related factors. From the moment I entered her space, the experience felt curated and tailored to my specific needs and preferences. I had lots (and lots) of questions and not only were my concerns met with compassion and dignity, most importantly, my mind was put to ease. My desire for extensions to LOOK AND FEEL NATURAL were far exceeded by Charlet - I’m so glad we met! I was previously wearing tape ins which also contributed to my already thinning hair with damage from adhesives & improper weight distribution. IBE is day and night in comparison to any other hair extension method, IMO. I’ve included before and after photos with this review. I also added a semi-permanent gloss to the extensions (white shirt) and this was a BIG deal bc my hair hadn’t seen color since 2004!!! The end results make me feel whole again! The attention to detail and little gestures of kindness and relaxation was exactly what I was looking for (after visits to medical professionals were met with stumped looks and guesses). Oh and I absolutely love all the products in my take home kit that were included with my session. I’m sensitive to fragrances and strong smells and Charlet made sure I was happy with the scent of the products I now use daily! Worth every penny!! I simply cannot say enough good things about Charlet and her salon. The space is an experience in itself and her snacks are chefs kiss!! So I’ve been getting extensions in Florida since 2016 and it's been a bit of a challenge finding someone I trust in North Carolina. I must say - my time with Charlet was probably my most favorite experience of them all! Of course I don’t have a lot to compare to since I’ve only seen one other hair extension specialist, but some things I noticed after being on machine tied wefts for so long, is the bulk that it places on the head as well as the the tightness and the discomfort that I felt after the system was established. This was what I expected when I went into Charlet’s salon; however, I had no discomfort at all! I initially came in to combine my machine wefts with newly ordered hand tied wefts, but after some further analysis, we decided it would be best to stick with hand tied wefts only. Looking into her collection of hair extensions, we found a beautiful blend of auburn and caramel colors that seated so well in my dark hair. Again, I came in to the appointment thinking it was just a routine move up for my hair extensions, and here I am, getting a beautiful new dimension to my hair! Charlet was very in tune with how I felt and made sure to check in throughout the entire process. One thing I really appreciated about her is her passion for hair health and happiness. She saw a couple of moles on my head and made me aware in the case it was something concerning. She also introduced me to Cult and King products that are an absolute dream! Highly recommend the scalp tonic :). As I stepped out of the salon my head felt lighter and I felt much more comfortable. Fast forward to our check in appointment and everything was still great! No pain, and I can FINALLY wear headbands without it snagging onto my tracks. Super excited to keep Charlet as my hair extensionist! We are so lucky to have her here in Winston-Salem!

I have been a client of Charlet's for a few years now and she gets my color match perfectly every time! I love my cut and style as well. She listens to my requests and always understands what I want to do. I highly recommend her and as a plus she uses clean products! I have always had a sensitivity to the smells used by other stylist (for dyes) and I have never experienced that at Lumeria!

I have very thin hair and have been doing different types of extensions for several years now.... only to be constantly disappointed with how fast they would slip, the position they were placed on my head, showing through... etc. Not to mention the $ invested. I am SO thankful I found Lumeria Salon, Charlet is wonderful personally and professionally.
