I have been going to her for 20+ years and cannot say enough wonderful things about how she colors, cuts, and styles my hair. Always thoughtful. Always looking at the big picture. I can’t recommend Karina at By the Strand enough! I’ve been seeing her for four years now and she has understood my needs and my hair from day one. She always knows exactly what it needs. Every appointment is not only about getting my hair done perfectly, but also about catching up with someone I now consider my friend. She’s talented, kind, and makes the whole experience enjoyable. Beware! This was my first visit to this salon and I decided to give it a try since it is just outside of my neighborhood in Weston. Rita completely destroyed my hair. She didn't listen to what I asked for a went a full six inches shorter turning a long bob into a choppy egg shape. She continued to try and cut shorter layers even when I told her to stop and that it looked terrible. I finally just stood up out of the chair to make her stop. The owner was standing there listening to the entire exchange and said nothing. Unfortunately, the cut is so bad and so short there is nothing to be done but wait. I left this salon incredibly disappointed and upset and was charged $55 to end up looking like Patricia Heaton circa 1998.

Love Sandra. Not only she is great with my hair, matching colors to whatever I am in mood for,, she is just an awesome person. So flexible and so ready to accommodate schedule changes.

I came into the salon today with very bad work from a previous experience with a different hair salon. my cut was uneven and just horrible and my color was very bad as well. I had the pleasure of working with Ricardo in trying to fix the mess someone else made. Ricardo listened to exactly what i wanted and what my worries and concerns were. He is very meticulous in making sure it was absolutely perfect. He was able to fix the haircut without making me lose a ton of length in fact my hair looks longer then when i first got there. Ricardo was able to turn a nightmare into a dream. Not only was Ricardo amazing but everyone in the salon was just so nice and friendly. overall it was an amazing experience and I will definitely be coming back for any future work.
