SalonOne19 & Spa

(I think this is only the fourth Google review I’ve written in the last decade, and I genuinely wish it weren’t a negative one.) I’ve lived nearby for years and have always had good experiences with the staff; they’ve been kind, talented, and very deserving of the tips I’ve given them. I’ve recommended this salon to others and genuinely enjoyed coming here, which is why this experience was so disappointing. Earlier today, I booked an appointment, and a few hours later received a voicemail saying it needed to be rescheduled. I understand that things come up, but this is the third or fourth time this has happened to me — including the last time I booked. The pattern has become discouraging, especially since I had already rearranged my day around the confirmed time. When I called back, I explained that the offered alternative times wouldn’t work and that, since the change originated with the salon, I hoped we could find another reasonable option. I admit I was frustrated — but I wasn’t upset with anyone personally. I was just trying to keep an appointment we had already agreed to, or at least find a middle ground. I asked whether they might be able to squeeze me in the next day at 4:30. "No," because they "close at 5." "That's ok," I responded, "I will only take about 15–20 minutes." The surprised reaction — "for a haircut!?" — I received caught me off guard and left me feeling embarrassed, as if I’d suggested something unreasonable. After being placed on hold, I was told by another individual - very bluntly - that they couldn’t fit me in at all this weekend. When I asked, "so that’s it?" the answer was simply "yes," followed by an obviously sarcastic "Happy Holidays" and an immediate hang-up. I genuinely understand that scheduling challenges happen, especially at busy times. What felt disheartening was the lack of any real effort to find a solution, especially after several prior reschedulings. The tone of the conversation left me feeling more dismissed than valued — which is the opposite of how the stylists themselves have always made me feel. I’m not writing this to be punitive; I hoped today’s call would reflect the same warmth and professionalism I’ve always experienced in the chair. I wish things had gone differently. And it’s a real shame to walk away feeling the relationship mattered more to me than it seemed to at the front desk.

I have been going to see Chas at Salon One 19 for several years. He does an amazing job with color and I’m always happy with his cuts for my curly hair, not an easy feat for some, but he’s great!

Salon 119 was able to fit me in for a haircut last minute which was such a blessing. I showed Brooke pictures of the type of cut I wanted and she gave me helpful suggestions and showed confidence in what was achievable. Throughout the haircut Brooke was enjoyable to talk to. I went from long hair to collarbone length and no bangs to full on bangs (quite the change i wanted!) Brooke is very skilled and did an amazing job! I absolutely love my haircut. Salon119’s other customers that had gotten their haircuts done simultaneously looked very pleased upon leaving the salon as well. I can recommend this Salon and i will definitely be back.

This is the second time that we went here!! My husband and I took our daughter for her first haircut and we were met by Brooke!! We absolutely love the work that she does!! Today I went and got my haircut as well and fell in love with it!! Highly recommend Brooke!!

I’m a new customer and booked an appointment with Brooke for full highlights, told them to book at least two hours cause I have long thick hair but they didn’t so when I arrived there wasn’t enough time to get my hair done. I got a haircut instead and rescheduled my appointment. Fast forward to my rescheduled appointment and they call me 4 mins till telling me Brooke is sick so they are canceling. I was sitting in the parking lot outside of the salon stunned. I’ve now wrapped up two hours of driving there and back between both of my appointments and have wasted money on a babysitter for nothing and STILL need to get my hair done. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SALON.

I just had a shampoo, blowout and flat iron. My hair is extremely thick and wavy. Olivia did an amazing job and she was so much fun to talk to while she fixed my hair. I will definitely go back.
