Patricia Hatzfeld did my wedding day hair and I truly could not recommend her more highly. She came highly recommended by my sister-in-law, who is a longtime client of Patricia’s, and she absolutely lived up to the praise. From the moment we started, she was the sweetest, so much fun to work with, and immediately made me feel at ease. She created the wedding updo of my dreams—it was flawless and held perfectly all night without budging an inch. There was no need for any adjustments when putting my veil in or taking it out, which was such a relief on a busy wedding day. Patricia is extremely knowledgeable in updo styling, incredibly talented, and also very affordable. I am so grateful to have had her as part of my wedding day and would recommend her to any bride looking for a beautiful, stress-free hair experience.

Meghan did my hair trial, wedding hair, and hair for three bridesmaids. She did an excellent job with all our hair, and came prepared with lashes in case anyone needed them. She also trimmed up my sister's undercut for the occasion; everyone looked very nice and the styles held all day and evening. She was on time and efficient.

I started going to Roots and Branches last summer when I moved to the River Market! I always go to Rachel and my hair has gotten SO MUCH healthier. She always listens to exactly what I want and it always ends up looking even better than I expected. I seriously can’t say enough great things about Rachel, Roots and Branches, and their products! Rachel has been awesome with recommendations and my hair is much happier!!! I box dyed my blonde hair brown 2 years ago and it has been quite the journey, but Rachel has been so helpful with growing my hair back out! I also got invisible bead extensions with Rachel in March and I am OBSESSED. I attached pictures of my before and after. If you are looking to go somewhere new with an awesome atmosphere and wonderful people who will listen to your hair goals, look no further!!! Can’t recommend Rachel and the salon enough!!!!

Jillian exceeded all my expectations! After moving to KC over a year ago I can finally say I’ve found the perfect hairdresser for me. The salon itself is clean, has a great vibe and sells some really cute items. All around awesome ❤️

I’ve gone to Rachel ever since she started there and I’ve never been disappointed! I’m very dark naturally and I had wanted to add blonde in my hair for a long time, but I was too afraid of frying it! Rachel takes her time to listen to what I want, look at pictures, and discuss with me the reality of what she can get my hair to look like without damaging it. I love where my hair is at right now because of her! Pictures are from my most recent appointment.

I debated posting this review because I never post bad reviews about salons but if it can help someone…. I went to get my hair glossed and cut a week before my wedding because of all the great reviews this salon has. Rachel was nice but does not know how to cut thick wavy hair. I asked for a simple long bob with a couple layers. When I left the salon my hair was a frizzy mess and I could not tell how bad the cut was until I went home and washed and restyled it. It was there I noticed just how uneven and lopsided my hair was. There were way too many layers and when she "thinned" my hair it ended up looking like thin dead ends on the bottom. I also debated going back to have it fixed but the only way to fix the thin ends would have been to cut it way shorter than I wanted. I would recommend making sure you go to a stylist that has experience with all types of hair. Attached is what I asked for vs what I got.
