This message details my dissatisfaction with the service received during my hair appointment on September 20th 2025. While I am happy with the outcome of my hair, the overall experience was severely unprofessional, and I will not be returning as a client. During my visit, I was provided with an incorrect address, which led to a delay and an unnecessary expenditure of gas on my part. After arriving at the correct location, I was compensated for my inconvenience with a promised discount on the service and a refund of my deposit, to be returned within two weeks. After waiting for more than two weeks, I had not received my refund. I contacted Brandi directly for an update. She then changed our initial agreement, stating that she would not be refunding (with my deposit included) but would instead offer $25 off a future appointment if I left a positive review. This contradicts our original compensation agreement. I find this change of terms and the handling of the situation to be highly unprofessional. The service and communication following my appointment made my first visit an unpleasant experience. I am requesting the refund of my deposit as initially agreed. Please let me know when I am refunded fully like we agreed upon. Written on, October 15th 2025

I used to go to another salon that braided my hair too tight. I was losing hair especially my baby hairs. Luckily I found this salon and would drive all the way from South Lake Tahoe. Trust me when I say it was worth it. Since coming here my hair has grown significantly. My hair has not been this long in years. I highly recommend Mrs K or her daughter Brandi. Kay is truly a beautiful, caring stylist. She's concerned about the health of your natural hair and goes above and beyond to insure your comfort in her salon. I've been a customer of hers for more than 20 years & I tell her al the time that many men & women stop me & compliment my look. I always get tree braids & when I remind people that my look is 'embellished', they always say okay but you cannot tell.

Kay was absolutely amazing! Not only does she have fantastic braiding skills but she’s super friendly and personable. She was also very quick and gave me exactly what I wanted! I will definitely be back 😊

The salon is cozy and relaxing. My hair is phenomenal my traditional box braids are absolutely gorgeous and light weight. The wash, deep conditioning, and trim were incredibly relaxing and thorough. The prices are extremely reasonable. The booking system is user friendly the experience has been a 10 out of 10 from start to finish.
