I’ve been coming to this salon for a long time because I’ve always appreciated their work ethic and the way they’ve taken care of my hair. Unfortunately, my visit today was very disappointing and left me feeling uncomfortable. When I arrived, I noticed that the stylist who usually sits in the front I’m not sure of her name was being extremely rude and passive-aggressive toward me throughout the entire appointment. I had been waiting patiently for my turn, but she took three other clients before starting on my hair. Once she finally began, she immediately commented on my hair being damaged, which I already knew and had no problem with her addressing. However, when I asked her to take a picture of my hair, she kept saying "one second" and avoided doing it. That shouldn’t have been an issue. And tried to make me feel embarrassed or At shame for having to trim my OWN HAIR!! What made things worse was her speaking to her coworkers in another language and laughing or making comments while doing my hair it came across as unprofessional and made me feel uncomfortable and disrespected. I don’t speak Spanish, but I could clearly sense the energy and attitude. At one point, she and others reacted dramatically, saying "oh my God" and "Lord" repeatedly because I needed my hair trimmed something I was already fine with. The entire experience felt dismissive and judgmental. Overall, the way I was treated today came off as rude, unprofessional, and discriminatory. I left feeling disappointed. ALSO SHE DID NOT WANT TO PUT ME UNDER DRYER SHE REFUSED ME AS WELL AND INSISTED ON Blow drying my WET HAIR ON HIGH HEAT & said that’s LESS high than drying under the dryer SOMBODY NEEDS TO SUE THEM Also their TOWELS are dirty and stained and they put it on their customers and it’s not very clean in there either. They don’t treat Black woman’s hair with care they don’t care how much heat they have to put in your head. They don’t put no heat protection on your hair they need there licenses REEVALUATED 👎👎👎👎👎 UNPROFESSIONAL. & RUDE . The lady who did my hair is in the image

Horrible experience!!! If you have 4B-4C type hair this isn’t the place for you. They put some type of texturizing or straightener in the shampoo or conditioner. I never had a perm in my life and after this salon experience I don’t have a curl in sight! My hair was falling out with every stroke of the comb from the root. You can see the straight strands from my natural hair in some sections. I’m so upset because I got a big chop 6 months ago and now I’m going to have to start over. I’ll never give them my money again. The least they could do is tell people they’re putting chemicals in their hair. I have a right to know that.

Haven’t been in years. With all the increased prices I’m looking for a few reasonable spots. Today I leaped and took the 2/5 Subway to Newkirk with a walk of a few blocks to the salon at 1274 Flatbush Avenue. Services included Wash/Set (w/ Conditioning of 15-20 mins) and Blow-dry all for $40 w/ Suly. I observed that the individual that washes your hair, sets and roll your hair, followed by blow-drying. There is a language barrier and they check scalp for weave pieces. You know some people tend to believe that black folk don’t think have real hair. Cash 💵 Only!! I supply my own shampoo 💆🏽‍♀️so i dont know what products they use. However if your scalp is sensitive or if you have a scalp/ skin (psoriasis) issue like myself I recommend bringing your individual products. There aren’t many dryers and the dryers they do have don’t get H🥵T. The best spot to be for deals there are people walking in with bargain after bargain so have cash💵. Lady came in with Clorox (7.99) and two containers of Bleach Lavendar Scented (2.99) and I got them both for 6 bucks. Wash⭐️⭐️⭐️ (Was not satisfied) Rolling/Rollers ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Blow Dry⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Sanitary/ Cleanliness ⭐️⭐️⭐️ I would like to return and try everyone to see who is and who isnt for hair. However you cant allow every and anyone to play in your hair. So to be continued for this review.

The young lady that did my daughter’s hair was excellent, However Maribel needs to do better with the appearance of the salon. It’s dirty and run down. I guess she doesn’t care because of the neighborhood.

I haven't had a perm in 10 years n I wanted to get my hair straightened. Since they used to do a good job with my hair when I used to perm so I thought they would do a good job with my natural hair. Big mistake. First off I told her I wanted rollers n go under the dryer. she refuses n forced me to blow dry straight n used a flat iron on my thinning hair. She burned my scalp n forehead. I have severe heat damage n hair lost. I'm afraid I will never get my beautiful 4C curl again. My hair look terrible 😫 I regret ever going there. I can see a lot of customers had the same experience n unfortunately didn't look at the rating before I went there. I'm disappointed, angry and saddened by this horrible hair styling experience ☹
