I recently lost my longtime hairstylist to retirement and was looking for someone new. I was referred to Veronica at Argyle Salon and was excited to book with someone who was described as talented. I would have been traveling from Mount Vernon for the appointment. When I contacted Veronica, she was pleasant at first. I asked for the price of a haircut (no color), and she quoted $120 for a trim. I was surprised by the price, as the salon’s website lists haircuts averaging $50–$60. I politely asked if the quote was correct and referenced the online menu. She responded rudely that each stylist sets their own pricing based on experience, which I understood. I told her I’d need a little time to think about it because of her price. Two days later, I reached out again to let her know I was ready to move forward and pay the quoted price. Her response was that her "gut feeling" told her she shouldn’t work with me. I was taken aback by this response. Asking a reasonable question about pricing should not result in being dismissed. The interaction felt unnecessarily rude and unprofessional. I’ve always found Bellingham to be a welcoming, kind community, and this experience did not reflect that. Veronica mentioned she is new to the area, and I hope she receives guidance on customer service, as this interaction was disappointing.

Thank you, Holly, for my Birthday blow out!!! You made me feel so beautiful! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ I have curly, thick hair and I had a wonderful experience with my trim, wash, and blow out from Holly. The Argyle is a beautiful space, so I would highly recommend the salon and Holly to anyone I know!

I’ve been putting off my toddler’s first real haircut for far too long, and on a whim decided to look for a same-day appointment with someone who works well with kids. I chose Argyle because of their reputation, and I’m so glad I did. My almost-2.5-year-old has fine hair, a slightly set-back hairline, and sweet little curls — the kind of hair you want someone experienced to handle. Christopher gave my kiddo a long, shaggy, surfer-style cut that still frames their face beautifully, and he was absolutely wonderful throughout the process. He was prompt, incredibly kind, patient, and didn’t absorb a drop of my anxious mama energy 😅. We left with a happy kid, a great haircut, and a very grateful parent. Thank you, Christopher! We’ll definitely be back!

This was the most amazing hair experience I’ve had! I went in with dark boring hair and came out with a rainbow! Sonja Doe is extremely creative and a pleasure to spend time with! She worked her magic and I could not be happier! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! All the ladies are the salon are inviting and friendly. A+ all around!

Veronica was absolutely fantastic! My curls needed a refresh in a big way, and now my hair has the shape and bounce it needed because of her curly hair skills and technique. I'll definitely be back!!

Sheridan is amazing!! So many compliments on my hair- the vibrance and natural copper are just beautiful! I have been to her twice after a cross country move from my long time beloved stylist but I know when I am in Sheridan’s chair, I’m in great hands! Thank you so much!

I've had positive experiences in the past here for adult haircuts and every stylist is different. I was charged $35 for the below haircut...I dare you to tell me which is the before and which is the after (ahem, there is not a noticable difference right ? ). This haircut didn't include a wash either. I contacted the studio after paying the price and did not have any call back or email about my disatisfaction over the price and lack of haircut. I've given them ample time to respond before this negative review. 9/7/21 UPDATE: I have since been called and asked how the situation could be remedied. I appreciate that the owner took the time out to make a call and see how the situation could have gone better.
