This review is just for Nina. She’s amazing at what she does, cut, color, all of it. With years of experience, she always nails it. I have so much confidence every time I sit in her chair. Whether I want something fun or more sophisticated, she’s got me covered. One of the best in the game, hands

I first came here in desperate need for a haircut, and wound up getting paired with an excellent stylist - Vee. I started with long hair (all the way down my back), and walked out with a bright galaxy bob - exactly what I wanted. Vee and I have gone on a wild ride with my hair, a new experiment with every visit, and I wouldn't dream of going to anyone else. The salon has a great environment, and gets decorated for the holidays.

There are so few businesses of quality and integrity, but the exception is We Are Hair. Sandy Yee, the owner and talented businesswoman, has cut and/or permed my hair for more than 30 years (gasp) and I trust no one else. She and Shiana, who greets, schedules, orders supplies, and even helps create the amazing seasonal decorations are amazing. Make an appointment or walk in - you will see why they are extraordinary.

They are currently open! Appointments are required. I’ve come here twice, Sharon cuts my hair and she always does an amazing job. I have some texture to my hair that has caused bad haircuts in the past, but she really listened to me. I consider their haircut prices very fair.

I had a blowout service with Carmen today. Overall, she seems like a nice person. However, I did not like my hair at all. I put trust into Carmen to do something simple for my hair (for my birthday). Instead of getting a nice voluminous blowout, I got half curled, frizzy, and straight hair. The process was rushed and she didn’t section my hair out at all. She started to but gave up after one section. She afterwards just started pulling at all my hair with the brush without combing it out first. I didn’t say anything because I wanted her to work her "magic" and maybe she had a different way of doing things. But the experience wasn’t nice and I won’t be coming back.

Violet is a master at the art of doing hair. Not only is she an expert, she is so gentle every step of the way doing my hair. Her energy is calming and relaxing. Each time I️ get my hair done my Violet, she exceeds my expectations. Violet at We Are Hair in Alameda is the absolute BEST!

I have had my hair done here by almost all the stylists in the past few years. They have all done a great job, especially Sharon, Oula and Violeta (Vi). Everyone here is friendly and the receptionist, Shawna, always provides a courtesy call to remind me of my appointment. Great customer service and skilled hairstylists.
