Cyclebreakers Records and Tapes

Great experience I want to share. Adam, the co-Owner of Cycle Breakers Records had set up at the Pgh Record Convention. While browsing around I mentioned a couple records I was looking for. Adam said he had one of them. He took time to describe it in good detail; we agreed to meet at his store for a review. Adam was off that day but took the time to meet. After inspecting the vinyl we completed the deal. Adam's grading and description of the record was spot on. Mind you i drove an hour and half to see this. Based on another lp I'd bought from Adam at a previous show which he graded properly, my gut instinct was to trust him on this one too. Glad I did as this was a top find at a very good price. In fact, Cycle Breakers pricing is very reasonably priced to sell. Not like some stores which make you leave disappointed as their wall of vinyl heavy hitters was over priced, serving more as a tease to show-off items... Lastly, I want to me mention that Adam truly made me feel very comfortable without hype or pressure. He really cares about his customers: he's genuine about his passion in this business. When you buy a record from him, you'll feel a positive connection beyond the transaction.

Absolutely unmatched inventory - this record store is the size of the average American home’s kitchen and still manages to have a premium atmosphere. You walk in the store and are greeted by one of three great people I’ve learned to know. Amazing staff, and they have something for everyone. Holy grail first pressings? They’ve got it. A new release that you’ve been struggling to find? It’s probably at Cycle Breakers. I’ve been a customer here since late October 2024 and I’ve left smiling at least 30 times. Fair prices, great selection, great everything. If you like records, stop here.

What an awesome shop with a big variety of genres! Super cool that it's in the bowling alley as well. Highly recommend stopping in and checking it out.

Love, love, love this shop. Not the biggest selection. But how many vintage vinyl shops do? Fun to browse about and the owner is friendly and accommodating. The idea that it's hidden inside of a funky bowling alley / dive bar makes it that much cooler. They're only open a few days/week, so check before heading over. It will be worth the effort. Pinky promise.

This joint is tiny, but fierce. Great selection of jazz and funk. The owner is really helpful and super cool. The place is nestled away in the most kicka55 bowling alley / pinball arcade you'll ever be in. If you're in Youngstown, do yourself a favor and come here.

Always stop in whenever I’m at Westside Bowl for a show. Great selection of tapes and records! Highly recommend stopping in if you’re there to bowl or in the area!
