The store was very clean and there's a huge selection of Funkos and both modern and back issues. My main complaint is that the back issues are not sorted in any manner. They're not B/B'ed, and are just put into boxes without any organization. Marvel, DC, Indy - it's all mixed together. Sadly, I saw many titles with damages to them due to the lack of B/B's. They're a fantastic price at $1 each, but that's the only positive I can say about the back issues. Honestly, I think the store has their priorities backwards. The modern crap (read that as crap full of identity politics) are sorted, b/B'ed. Collectors who want the old school stuff from the 80's and 90's that actually told good stories have to pick through unorganized boxes. My suggestion to the management - reverse this. Drop the modern crap no one wants into disorganized boxes and put the back issues in B/B's for collectors looking for issues from their early years. The staff were very polite, the store had a good smell and the music was decent. This has all the 'bones' of a great store, but the current priorities is holding it back. I don't live in Tallahassee, and now knowing how the system currently is. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back. If you're a collector of back issues. Be prepared to spend hours picking through unorganized boxes with damaged titles mixed in.
Decent selection, nice staff. Place was packed for a MTG game but I was just there for comics. Some really strange but cool indie finds in the dollar bins
Since coming to Fallout I've spent the last 3 years visiting comic books shops as I travel Florida. Visit friends and family, taking vacations with my husband, hospital trips, etc. if we passed a comic book shop we tried to visit on the way there or back. I have yet to find a shop with as many comics just in sheer number, as well as so much variety, as many board games, or as enjoyable a staff than I have found at Fallout. A lovely store that I enjoy giving my money to.
Friendly staff -- they greeted my son and I as we walked through the door, asked if we needed help finding anything (they possess an extensive inventory of comics, posters, games, collectibles, and so much more), then let us browse for an extended time in peace, which I appreciated, as it gave my son and I an opportunity to discover something new, together. Once we finish this stack of comics, we will be returning for more!
Very good comic store. The staff are helpful and very knowledgeable.
This place is great. I’ve always been into comics, but just haven’t had a place to get them. I discovered Fallout probably 2-3 years ago as I was in the area with my friends. The guys in there are great, as they always ask anyone if they need help finding something. Another thing is that they’ll hold a comic for you if you can’t get up there in the day of release. The Selection is amazing. DC, Marvel, Image, Darkhorse, you name it, they probably have it. They also have Warhammer 40k books, miniatures, and paint. There’s tons more, like statues, posters, and ground coffee surprisingly. If you’re in the area, you should really check it out, it’s a great place.
This store is fantastic in most regards and this is me and my partners preferred comic shop. However, recently they seem to be making odd choices with their displays. I’m usually not the type to complain about this at all, but it was very strange to see nude comics placed right next to the My Little Pony and other children's comics on their recent releases table. That is an easy situation to avoid with basic human decency????
