I’m going start this by saying I drive to this location for customer service. My visit the end of January still has me questioning my choice to patronize this chain. My visit was on 1/17/26. I check out a variety of different ways but during this visit we had a lot of items and there was two of us with two separate orders. We decided that it would be best to go to a cashier. Bad choice, we got the worst cashier ever. She was rude and rushing us. We were asking her to go slow so that we could have the opportunity to separate our things. Then we asked for bags she threw them at us. We asked if she or the bagger could bag our stuff and she proceeded to throw our groceries in the bag every which way damaging items with no regard. She needed to be reprimanded. I took a picture of her with her name tag showing not her face because her name was long and I wanted to make sure I had the correct spelling of it. For this review
Best prices Always stocked Very fast paced everyone is ready! New lower pricing Also new cases in the meat department beautiful More updates for my town store coming excellent service Thank you all 🎉❤️
I'm rating 2 stars, because checkout was not a pleasant experience. We went around 11 am, and our cashier at register 4, was AMAZING. Such a kind lady, who treated my mother and I, with respect. Some new items didn't scan, and another associate, or manager, made it clear that she didn't want to be bothered. She came over, with a tag and said "scan this twice, because I'm not going back and forth". Second part was another cashier mentioning that he needed to use the restroom. Same lady blurted out that he'd already gone so many times, and his coverage told him that he had to clock out for his restroom break, or for the next one. Nobody needed to know this man's business. Our cashier was wonderful, and the other cashier seemed to be a nice man. The higher ups this morning could have done much better. Instead, they chose rudeness.
There is a guy named John in prepared foods who I did not appreciate watching him berate an employee INFRONT of customers. Very unprofessional. Loud mouth with a horrible attitude. Also puts his UNGLOVED fingers in the olive bar. Somebody please fix this problem. Thank you.
An enjoyable place to shop however something deeply disturbing happened. I was checking out during the holidays and heard an issue with the floor manager older white woman with the name tag Dawn. She was on the phone telling an employee it was unacceptable that she was in the hospital and she had to show up to work with a note and even then it wasn’t okay. I was almost moved to say something. how dare she talk to someone like that right before thanksgiving home she gets talked to!
I am so disgusted, last week I went to the fish department looking for what I wanted and the employee completely ignored me and disregarded that I was waiting just to help a lady that cut the line while I was waiting for her to assist me! Then today, my father went to get deli meat and the guy at the counter barely wanted to assist and cut our deli meat into shreds while piled prosciutto without separating it nicely.. how can I used this for entertaining purposes on a platter!? ShopRite I have been coming here for years and I even worked there at one point….Train your people right, pay attention to workers that don’t care, DO BETTER!
This is a 1-star review for ShopRite in Milford, CT. First of all, always check the expiration date, because they don’t. On October 15, my spouse and I went shopping and found an entire row of expensive "fresh" pasta (Giovanni Rana) that had expired one month and a half before! See pix, "Use fresh or freeze by 08/30/2024 - Lot # 240830116309 09:430 - 09:440, etc" An entire row of them! Nobody had checked these expensive products for 45 days! Well, October 15 was the feast of Theresa of Avila, the best selling author in the (native, not translated) Spanish language, so it would have been interesting to celebrate it with a nice food poisoning… Then, another problem is the lack of HR. At peak hours, there’s a little old lady hovering around the cash registers, afflicting the employees with her incompetence and bad attitude. Instead of solving existing problems, she only creates new ones. She has no idea of what’s going on, she’s completely lost, and should take a long vacation. Time to select better, more diverse, and more competent personnel - perhaps with the help of an external HR firm.
