It was a treat to visit the World Famous VIP Records! Came here for an event. Had some great talent. Got to see DJ LA Smurf! Couldn't leave without getting a few t-shirts. Will definitely be back.

Stopped in just to visit the historic shop and ended up spending over an hour with Mr Kelvin Anderson. It was an unexpected and much appreciated history lesson on VIP Records. I don’t believe many people outside of LB and the LA area understand the impact VIP had on all of hip hop, not just on the west coast.

Amazing atmosphere top ah dih top welcoming a "peace" of history in our "present" starting new or continuing ur dream it a most to start from W.F.VIP. RECORD. Walking Tru gives you a clear meaning or purpose as the giants, legendary artists, leaves theire prints for others to fallow easily to make a huge impact 1 small move at a time. Peace and love.

Famous World VIP Kelvin Anderson sr. Is it historic buisness? You have to visit VIP RECORD & meet Me Anderson.

Although it's not on the old spot anymore you still can taste the vibe of the old days (for me it felt that way) on a footnote: Google tells you that the shop is closed on Sundays but isn't true. They are open on Sundays. Kelvin the owner was so friendly and kind. Talking history and taking photos with me. Due to the digital music era the sales of CD's are low... And they have a lot of them. They are planning to start a recording studio and still have renovate a lot. But it's worth visiting them! Iconic shop, iconic people, iconic friendly!!

Smaller and less stocked than I expected, but you could still feel the history of the place. Great staff (I didn't catch her name but she was dope) and I bought a t-shirt, WOOOO!!
