Detroit Threads

Very cool resale shop, definitely worth a look!

Where other thrift store CD and vinyl sections only have Christmas music and country CDs, this place has what you're looking for! Great selection of retro techno, including Detroit specific tracks, neatly sorted by genre.

really cool vintage shop, had some killer leather coats hiding in the back, tons of old vinyls I wanted to spend hours going through, fashion, art from local artists and musicians, definitely worth the trip and your money

Went crate digging for used records with my son and he was very pleased with the variety here - heavy on the EDM/electronic. He noted that it was very well curated. He purchased several records but I left with none - I did buy a cool Detroit Threads hoodie as a souvenir. This is a crusty but cool place that looks like what ever comes in stays around until somebody buys it. There are used clothes and other odds and ends. The owner likely lives and works here as a lifestyle. It’s worth exploring but if you want a polished record buying experience you probably don’t want to visit. I dug it however.

Amazing establishment! Almost felt like I was in someone’s home—the music and the threads were poppin! Make sure you find the pinky + the brain paperweight at checkout 😉

The best store on the planet! It's the #1 record store for vinyl records and merch from local record labels. The owner is one of my favorite people in the world!

Really cool record shop. Was in town for a party and did some digging at a few stores, this one turned out to be my favorite. Large variety of electronic music, wish i had more time to look around. Will certainly stop back when I'm in Detroit again!
