This is a busy Target, sometimes challenging to park at, but we have such a positive experience every time we shop there, it's worth driving to it instead of to the Biddeford (Maine) one. (Both are nearly equidistant from the hotel where we're staying.) The Greenland store is clearly very popular, and checkout lines can be long. However, the staff are always cheerful and go out of their way to be helpful, making product suggestions when we're trying to decide between two similar products. In other words, the staff seem to know their merchandise very well. It's not that they're steering us to one product or even the Target brand; they genuinely give us the pros and cons of each product, to help us make a good decision. That sense of neighborliness and friendliness makes this Target a place we enjoy shopping at, even if we could get the same item at a competing store... and perhaps with less traffic to get there. This Target is worth the drive, and - even when the checkout lines are long - we still leave with a smile, and commenting about how much we like shopping there.

The last time I was there three employees were standing together, ignoring customers, while having an angry conversation about how they disliked some co-worker or manager. Utterly unprofessional. On another note, when is Target going to realize that not having legit auto, hardware, or hunting/fishing/camping departments is basically ignoring an enormous number of potential customers. No wonder Walmart is eating Target's lunch.

I’m not sure what happened to Target over the past couple of years, but I suppose they have gone the way of most places in post-lockdown society in that their customer service is essentially non-existent. I’ve had more and more bad experiences at Target over the past year than in my whole 20+ years of being a customer. I’m not even from this area, in fact I’m not from this state, but somehow I managed to have yet another negative experience at Target tonight. I walked into this location about 20-30 minutes before closing because we got in late and I needed to quickly grab some essentials (toiletries, diapers, etc). We never intended it to take more than 10 minutes, but before I knew it they were shutting the lights off and blaring over their speakers that they were closed. I’m not even the kind of person to linger after the first warning, but we realized we forgot some food items for my daughter with food allergies (i.e. a specific pancake mix Target carries and oatmilk), so my husband ran to see if he could quickly grab them while I checked out the other items. Well, the manager began to very loudly make it known to me how displeased she was with us. And you know, I get it. I’ve worked retail, you’ve been working 12+ hour shifts, it’s a Saturday night and you want to go home. However, there was no need to be as rude and as unprofessional as she was, angrily and loudly mouthing off to the other employees about how I "had someone with me, and it’s probably him in the grocery aisle…and to tell [us] we need to go!" She knew I was standing right there, in fact, it is why she said it so loudly for me to hear. I ended up calling my husband and telling him to forget it, as they were clearly very angry we were holding them up. Then they still had the audacity to smile at us and mockingly wish us a goodnight. I literally just needed to get things for my baby to eat and I would have been out of their hair in no time. I literally checked myself out, they didn’t lift a finger and we were not there even 5 minutes past closing time. But honestly reading the other reviews about this place, I’m not even surprised. Lazy is right. The way we were treated was completely unnecessary and as visitors to the area it left a bad taste in our mouth. As Target customers, it left us wondering why we continue to give our hard earned money to companies who refuse to train their employees to provide their patrons with even the bare minimum level of customer service, let alone treat them with any level of dignity.

To be very fair with this review, I do want to point out that this location is not as new as some Targets that have the really large grocery section. I have shopped here so many times and never have had a bad experience with parking, inventory, staff, or the sense of urgency of the check out staff members. I do wish that the parking lot was a little more lit up at night and that they had a few more grocery cart return areas in the parking lot. Other than this, I feel like if you're considering shopping here, you will not be disappointed.

I’ve been to this location many times and have always had a hard time getting help from some of the employees. What makes this interaction unique is an employee "KJ" was super helpful. He went above and beyond to help my wife and I find the right electronic device and you just don’t see that very often. He was busy restocking which I felt bad bothering him but he was more than willing to help. I hope target looks at this review and sends him a thank you. I really wish every visit was like this one.

Typical Target that's laid out like every other Target, so it was very easy to find certain things. The men's section had clothes riddled around the clothing hangers. It was hectic to look through clothes. But most of the aisles were clean and well organized. Would recommend coming here if you're looking for a Target.

Edit 4/23/19: Target is our go-to box store for the modern day consumable. In the past, we used to choose Target over other big-box competitors because they have cleaner stores, more intelligent employees and an overall nicer experience with similar product costs. The past few times we have been to Target in Greenland it has been a complete mess. Should this be reported to the fire department? Cleanup the store! We will surely think twice before returning.
