Hy-Vee Grocery Store

I usually love Hy-Vee but yesterday I went to purchase two 8oz sirloin steaks. When the person behind the counter was grabbing the steaks I noticed the 6oz sirloin steak tray moved a little bit, and he rung the steaks in as the original asked for weight 8oz. I ignored it until today when I unwrapped them and they seemed a bit small for 8oz, I weighed them and I was correct that he grabbed the 6oz steaks and charged me for the larger more expensive steaks. I sure hope it was a honest mistake but I’m still upset about it.

Kool spot with kind fast 💨 and friendly service. Groceries and a liquor 🥃 store all in 1. There were many people in and outta this spot. 1 stop shop. So check em out if you’re ever in the neighborhood and Holla at a Playa. 👌🏾

Regular shopping trip. Was looking for Ezekiel bread in the health food section. Online, it was in stock. In the store there was no place for it. Had the cinnamon version, low sodium version, sprouted grains by the same company. But no original. ??? Went again. This time for flowers. I stood in that refrigerator for 20 minutes looking for just the right flowers. The florist ended up bringing in a beautiful vase chock-full of fall flowers including saff flowers in a heavy duty gift bag. I took them. They were just right for Grandma. Unfortunately I was so excited to get them to her, I didn't take a picture for anyone to see.

Love this store, I just wish they sold Green Apple Jocko’s 🙁 We go there for everything we need and I’d love to get some on each run there!

Best Hy-Vee near Downtown Omaha. Always clean and well stocked. I am taking off 1 star because the bakery area always smells strongly of mushrooms and onions.

Your stores are awful. Not a bit of common sense goes into the organization of your products, unless your goal is to irritate customers and force them to walk every isle in hopes they buy more than they intended. It’s most likely that. But you’re losing many customers by making it this hard to get the things we need and leave. How about we put cheese with cheese? I found 5 areas with different cheese products and still didn’t find the one I was looking for. Terrible place.

Today is my father‘s 79th birthday. His health has diminished something serious and we didn’t know if he was gonna be with us for this day. Last minute I called this morning and Mandy helped me with my dad‘s birthday cake. Wanted to say thank you to Mandy, Jennifer, and Roland, the general manager of Hy-Vee on Madison. Customer service is key in a competitive business And have employees like this is a blessing for that store. Thank you again Hy-Vee crew at Madison St., Council Bluffs!
