Lindale Mall

I remember shopping at Lindale for HOURS when the food court was still the sunken area in the middle of the mall. Now, the ONLY remaining good thing about this "mall" is VonMaur. With the new Dick’s All Sport opening later this year, I sure hope mall management gets its act together and starts actively recruiting places folks WANT to shop. Brick and mortar stores are worth the investment- but you’ve got to bring in the right ones. This place is depressing. Get to work, management!

I didn’t count the stores, but I feel like there’s more store fronts empty than occupied. And many of the occupied ones look like they are temporary. Nice large indoor space for walking, which I saw several people doing. While this mall is definitely dated and struggling, it’s nice to have a space where you can stretch your legs and get some food. There are no fewer than 8 Coke machines in the mall. Small, free play space. Be advised that there’s a Youth Escort Policy. Kids under 16 can’t wander the mall on their own.

I hosted a Made in Iowa event in the old Younkers building. We had 153 vendors. The mall staff was amazing! The men's bathroom is a trek away. The space did get a bit warm . But over all we were pleasantly pleased with our experience working with mall staff.

There's lots of stores only one major department store and that's von maur, some teeny bopper stores a lot of high-end clothing stores athletic wear shoe stores. Has just about everything you need including a food court with a wonderful selection.

I was there and do you want to know what I saw? Inappropriate mugs and stuff that were in the shape of private parts😡 (hot topic-more like inappropriate topics) It mad me cry to see these little children going to a public place and seeing goofy ahh stuff such as this. 10/10 will be going back near the outside of the building because it is better than the inside. You just lost a non-loyal customer. Human resources will be hearing about your scandal. Cops will be called many- AND I MEAN MANY TIMES- to rid the building of this public display of nudity for the little children of the state of Iowa and coming. They don't want to see this unless they are 18 and from what I know, 18 is ADULTS. I slipped on the floor and creased my 10 Js I got from my good friend Michael Jackson. He will also be hearing about thsi. Would recommend good store. The basement is haunted with the hot topic stuff though so don't go down there 😵‍💫

We have always liked and supported this mall. Unfortunately, the last few visits can't use children's play area because adults use it to make tik tok videos and refuse to move for toddlers. Will try again.

I actually left this mall feeling depressed. My wife put it perfectly: this mall is where dreams go to die. The entire place looks like it hasn't advanced at all since the 1980s: tired storefronts, passe gimicks like massage chairs and bubble-gum-machine congolmerates. Many of the spaces were empty, and most people wandering aimlessly through the uninspired building looked bored, and certainly didn't look like they were there to spend money. It was just depressing. That said, others who have reviewed the mall seemed to like it, so perhaps it's just a matter of personal taste.
