Too Cool Store

Fellow with rainbow hair doesn’t know how to greet shoppers, but is really good at following them around the store… And glaring at them while they browse.

I was literally trapped inside the store!! The employee that is working today 11/29/23 left the store and closed the gate behind her. It took me 10 mins to figure out how to open the gate so I can get the heck out of there!!! Horrible experience. I feel like I strained myself.

Very friendly and experienced staff. Prices are AT LEAST HALF of what you see at anime convention. Mostly plushies, statues, and gunplua / model mech kits.

I’ve bought quite a few K-pop albums from here, the two on the top of my head are Kill This Love($28) and Lalisa ($30). Both were real, certified albums. I also did get a Rosé funko keychain but it was $8 and I’ve got the other members (Jisoo, Lisa, Jennie) for $5 each at Barnes and Noble. This store is a little overpriced compared to Amazon but it’s very convenient so it’s a win for me (I am kinda impatient). I’ve got some (prob fake but I don’t really care lol) (g)i-dle merch from here (lanyard, keychain, stickers, $6-7 each), they sell photo cards for $10 a box. Anyways, it’s not the best store in the world but it’s decent. And I find some of my beloved kpop merch!!

Very friendly owner. Prices are actually pretty fair despite being in a mall. Theres another store that sells similar figurines for twice the price of this shop. Def come here for Pokemon merch as well. Can't thank owner enough for having a digimon figurine in stock so that I'd have the perfect Christmas gift for my bf.

I like buying the pencils/pens here and all the other cute stuff they have to offer, but I agree with most of the people on here. Some of the merchandise feels too overpriced and the staff don't greet any of the customers. Whenever I walk in (always at around 6-7 on weekends), the staff would be talking to each other, turn around and glance for a second and then get back to whatever conversation they were having. I mean, I get it if you are too busy/stressed on the job to greet customers and such but these guys didn't seem to be doing much. I just feel like that's just rude to the customer. But other than that, the store is pretty decent.

My daughter and I visited too cool in fox valley mall and was harrased by the Asian women whom claimed too be the manager. When my daughter and I walked into the store, the lady followed us so close that if I would have turned around well be kissing (literally). She made my daughter feel so uncomfortable that my daughter said maybe we should leave. I didn't want to cause a scene in the store so I called the store asking to speak with the manager and she claimed to be the manager. I asked her if she discriminate towards black people bc her actions showed otherwise. She claimed that she didn't noticed me in the store and wouldn't mind rolling back the cameras. I said excuse me? You were the one harassing and stalking my daughter and I around the store bc as soon as we left, you seemed to act back normal.
